I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 621

A company pulling in daily revenues of over sixty billion dollars. Luckily, when Easton Group was at the peak of its success, he had hounded Sienna to let him buy in, and she had refused him at the time.

In other words, he now owed Sienna his gratitude for sparing his financial life.

Quentin and Caleb sighed simultaneously.

Hayden watched Zoe and Garrett standing a short distance away.

Zoe wouldn't even spare him a single glance.

He knew that if he didn't go over there, she would never take another step toward him.

"Mr. Thorne, do you need something?"

Garrett guarded Zoe like he was fending off a thief.

Hayden had essentially used Command HQ earlier to openly demand Ian's return from Zoe.

How was that any different from a threat?

Even publicly revealing Zoe's identity was likely just a calculated move targeting Ian.

"Zoe, let's talk for a minute."

He kept it brief and to the point.

Zoe had no intention of giving him any openings.

"We have nothing to talk about, and Ian is never returning to the Thorne family."

Zoe had little affection left for Hayden, and after her hypnotic regression, she harbored even less goodwill toward him.

"If I'm willing to make up for my past mistakes, would you be willing to forgive me?"

Never in his life had he been this humble.

"If I slapped you across the face, could you pretend I never hit you? If I killed you, could you pretend it never happened? If I stabbed you twice, would you think I loved you?"

Zoe's hypotheticals were painfully blunt, and Hayden's expression darkened with every word.

She wasn't negotiating; she was laying out an absolute indictment.

"Zoe, do it for Ian and Lily."

Zoe almost let out a dark laugh.

"For Ian? Why should I? I suffered for ten months while you felt good for a few seconds, and now you claim he's your son. Hayden, you think entirely too highly of yourself."

"To this day, Lily doesn't even know her last name is Thorne. Ask her if she even knows what the word 'Dad' means. When she was in kindergarten, did anyone there know you were her father?"

Hayden listened in absolute silence, unable to offer a single word of rebuttal.

Hearing all this, even a grown man like Garrett found his eyes tearing up.

He had no idea little Lily had suffered so many grievances and injustices.

No wonder she constantly asked him if she could let her dad—if she could call him Dad, just once.

She even asked him if he could marry her mom so they could be a real family.

Garrett's eyes went red. If there hadn't been so many people around, he would have punched Hayden without hesitation.

He truly didn't deserve to be a father.

No real father would refuse to acknowledge his own child.

Hayden was utterly speechless.

He really couldn't explain it away.

Zoe continued, "Do you really need me to remind you, Mr. Thorne? If it weren't for Grandmother Beatrice, Lily wouldn't even have been able to attend that kindergarten. And when Lily was being bullied, what did you do as her father?"

"You let everyone point fingers at her. My Lily was the one being bullied, yet we were the ones forced to apologize. Garrett had to help change Lily's school, but she still couldn't escape your mistress's clutches."
