I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 625

"Later on, he even forbade Holden from calling him Second Father, making him say Uncle Hayden instead. He even forced me to call him Hayden, or even Mr. Thorne."

Sienna poured emotion into her words, without a single trace of artificiality.

Hearing this, Nita was so furious she nearly passed out.

"You're saying Hayden made you call him Hayden or Mr. Thorne?" Had her son completely lost his mind to say something so absurd?

Sitting in first class, Sienna stared at the court summons in her hands and tore it to shreds with a cold sneer.

She had anticipated this step long ago and had purchased her ticket to Italy half a month in advance.

By the time Zoe came looking to arrest her, she'd be long gone from the country.

Holden sat next to her, playing a game on his tablet, completely ignoring whatever his mother was saying.

"Yes. I figured my presence at home was an eyesore to Zoe. If Zoe is unhappy, then Hayden is unhappy. It's better for everyone if I leave."

Nita trembled with rage, forcing her words through gritted teeth. "What sister-in-law? I only recognize you as my daughter-in-law! If Zoe Lynd thinks she can join the Thorne family, she has another thing coming!"

Sienna sniffled continuously. "Nita, you don't have a say in this family anymore. Hayden won't listen to you. He took Easton Group away from me, so I don't have a company anymore."

"Zoe plotted against me. Since Hayden can't protect me, and he's not even willing to look out for his nephew Holden anymore, there's no point in me staying in the capital."

"Charles knew Italy was my favorite place. Since this is where he had his accident, I'm returning here to be with his memory. You don't have to worry about me. Once I'm settled, I'll contact you again, and you can come visit Holden."

Sienna gently stroked the top of Holden's head, her eyes dark with malice.

Nita had zero interest in flying to some foreign country to visit her grandson, but since Sienna was already gone, she couldn't force the issue.

She was terrified that if she pushed too hard, Sienna would refuse to tell her where they lived.

"Fine. Take your time to relax while you're abroad. Remember to tell me when you get there."

Boiling with rage, Nita hung up and immediately sought out Hayden.

"You drove her and the boy away! You figure out a way to get them back!"

She never imagined her eldest son would fall so deeply under Zoe's spell.

"Command Center? You mean a construction site."

The Sterling Group employees shot Nita a bizarre look.

They couldn't help but wonder: this woman claimed to be Ms. Lynd's relative and certainly looked the part of a pampered, wealthy elite, but why was everything coming out of her mouth so remarkably unpleasant?

The receptionist's warm smile gradually turned icy.

"If you're Ms. Lynd's relative, you can call and ask her yourself. Us receptionists don't know the details." Tossing that sentence out, the receptionist turned to leave.

Nita was livid.

"How can you be so incredibly rude? Does your company not provide basic training? How did you even get hired?"

The receptionist suppressed her temper. "Mrs. Thorne, if you have a complaint, you are welcome to file it."

Seeing the girl dare to talk back, Nita flared up even more. "Don't call me Mrs. Thorneβ€”I am *the* Mrs. Thorne. And I absolutely will file a complaint against you."

As Nita spun around to leave, the receptionist muttered sarcastically under her breath, "So that's what the grand Mrs. Thorne is really like. What a piece of work."
