Chapter 292 Two Territories One Blood
Lady Flourish POV

I kept my eyes on the dark line beyond the Dartwood wards after Damian ended the call with Ragnar.
The patrol was already moving toward us, boots pressing through the grass while the night wind carried the scent we had found along the border.
My wolf lifted her head.
“That scent is here.”
“I know.”
She had caught it before I had, but I could smell it now too. It was faint and clean, the same expensive scent I had noticed near the tunnel entrance at Stonehedge. It did not belong to the forest, the patrol, or anyone from Dartwood.
Damian looked at me.
“Can you follow it?”
“I can try.”
He signaled to the patrol leader, and four wolves spread out behind us.
They shifted easily into a loose formation, leaving enough space between each person to avoid masking the trail with their own scents.
We followed the border for several minutes.
The trail disappeared twice before returning near a group of low trees. I crouched beside the ground, touched two fingers to the soil, and then stood again.
“They came this way.”
Damian glanced toward the trees.
“How many?”
“I can’t tell.”
His wolf spoke from inside him, low enough that I barely heard the growl in his voice.

“Someone wants us looking.”
I looked at Damian.
“What did he say?”
“He thinks the trail was left for us.”
We continued.
A few yards ahead, one of the patrol wolves stopped.
“Alpha.”
Damian raised his hand.
We all froze.
The wolf pointed toward a low branch.
A silver bracelet hung from it.

I walked closer but did not touch it. It had been placed at eye level, where anyone following the trail would notice it immediately.
There was a small engraving on the inside.
My stomach tightened.
I knew that symbol.
I had seen it carved into the stone walls beneath Stonehedge, repeated through the tunnels we had spent days trying to understand.
The same old shape had appeared near the hidden passages connected to my mother’s family.
“Don’t touch it,” I said.
Damian stepped beside me.
“You recognize it.”
“Yes.”
He studied the bracelet.
“Rhys.”

I pulled out my phone and called him.
He answered quickly.
“What happened?”
“We found something at the Dartwood border. I’m sending you a picture.”
I took several photographs without moving the bracelet and sent them.
Rhys was silent for a moment.
Then he said, “Where exactly did you find it?”
“Western border. Near the old service road.”
“Send me the location.”
I did.
The patrol waited while Rhys checked whatever records he had access to.
My wolf stayed close to the surface.
“She remembers.”
“I know,” I whispered.
Damian looked at me but didn’t ask what she meant.
Rhys came back on the line.
“I’ve seen that symbol before.”
“Where?”
“In the records we recovered from the original vault. The same mark appears in the old material connected to the bloodline archives.”
Damian’s expression hardened.
“Are you certain?”
“Yes. I’m looking at the scanned copy now. The shape is the same. There are minor differences in the surrounding markings, but the central symbol matches.”

I stared at the bracelet.
“How did whoever left this get access to it?”
Rhys exhaled.
“That is the problem.”
“Could someone have copied it?”
“Of course. But if they did, they studied it closely.”
Damian’s wolf growled.
“He wants us to know.”
I looked at Damian again.
“What?”
He was still staring at the bracelet.
“He says this isn’t meant as a threat.”
I frowned.
“Then what is it?”
“A message.”
The answer made more sense than I wanted it to.

Someone had followed the scent trail, reached Dartwood’s border, and left an object carrying the same symbol found beneath Stonehedge. They hadn’t attacked the patrol.
They hadn’t crossed the wards. They had simply made sure we found this.
I folded my arms.
“They want us to understand that Dartwood is involved now.”
Damian nodded.
“That the bloodline conflict isn’t limited to Stonehedge.”
“And they consider your territory part of it.”

“Or they want us to think they do.”
That was possible too.
Rhys interrupted.
“There’s something else.”
I lifted the phone.
“What?”
“The vault records weren’t public. Most of the copies were destroyed or locked away.”
“So whoever made this had access to information that shouldn’t be easy to find.”
“That’s what I’m saying.”
I ended the call after getting the files from him.
For several seconds, nobody moved.
The bracelet remained hanging from the branch.
I suddenly wanted to call Callum.
I stepped away from the patrol and dialed his number.
He answered after the second ring.
“Flourish.”
“Did you send someone to Dartwood?”
There was a pause.
“What?”
“Don’t play with me, Callum. Did you send wolves to Dartwood?”
“No.”
I looked at the bracelet.
“Someone left a silver bracelet at the western border. It carries the same symbol carved

through the Stonehedge tunnels.”
His silence lasted longer this time.
“Where are you?”
“Dartwood.”
“Why are you there?”
“Damian was summoned because unfamiliar wolves have been testing the borders.”
Callum breathed out slowly.
“I didn’t authorize that.”
“Did
you know it was happening?”

“No.”
His answer came too quickly for me to miss the strain in his voice.
I pressed harder.
“Is this connected to Voss?”
“I don’t know.”
“You expect me to believe that?”
“Yes, because if I knew, I would tell you.”
There was something different in his voice. I had heard Callum angry, dismissive, amused, even threatening. I had never heard him sound unsure of what came next.
“You sound worried.”
“I am.”
That stopped me.
Callum continued.
“Flourish, whatever you’re looking at, it isn’t something I sent. And if Voss’s people are behind it, they have moved without orders I know about.”
