Rhys enlarged the message.

“The wording may mean more than a warning.”

“What are you thinking?”

He brought up the silver bracelet we had found mean car the Dartwood border.

“The symbol on this bracelet appeared in the Sio Stonehedge tunnels. If the person b the bloodline, ‘first door‘ could refer to the sanane network.”

Flourish looked at the screen.

“You think the symbol is a door?“”

For what?”

“The symbol from the bracelet.”

Ragnar understood immediately.

“Understood.”

“Use scent teams. I don’t want cameras alone. If someone has been moving through old tunnels, technology won’t give us the full picture.”

“We’ll send the trackers.”

I ended the call.

Within minutes, Dartwood’s scent teams were moving across the border. They worked differently from ordinary security units. Each team carried scent records from recent intruders, old border patrols, and known enemy wolves. Their wolves were trained to separate overlapping trails, identify disturbed earth, and follow traces left beneath human smells.

I stayed on the security feed while Flourish worked beside Rhys.

Then Ragnar called.

“We found something.”

I straightened.

“Where?”

“Western border. About two kilometers from the old watch station.”

“Describe it.”

“An underground access point. It was covered with earth and brush, but the ground has been disturbed recently.”

Flourish looked at me.

“We’re going.”

I was already reaching for my jacket,

“No argument,” she said.

“I wasn’t going to make one.”

We left with four Dartwood warriors and Ragnar guiding us by phone. The drive was short, but the silence inside the vehicle wasn’t comfortable. I kept checking the security feed on my phone while Flourish watched the road.

When we reached the old watch station, the scent teams were waiting.

Ragnar pointed toward a slope behind the ruined structure.

“The entrance is there.

One tracker crouched and touched the ground.

“Fresh scent. Two males. One is from the border group we’ve been looking for.”

That was enough.

We followed the warriors down the slope until we reached a narrow opening between rocks. Stone steps disappeared into darkness.

Flourish’s female wolf stirred.

“Careful.”

I felt my own wolf wake fully.

“Stay close.”

We entered,

The passage was older than the pack structures above it. The walls were made from large stone blocks, and there were no modern lights. Our warriors switched on lamps while the scent team moved ahead.

After several minutes, the passage opened into a chamber.

I stopped.

Symbols covered the walls.

They weren’t Dartwood markings. They weren’t Stonehedge markings either.

Flourish moved closer.

“Do you recognize them?”

She shook her head.

Rhys’s explanation came back to me.

The first door.

I walked along the wall until I found the same symbol carved into the silver bracelet.

“There.”

Flourish came over.

The marking was larger here. It had been cut deep into the stone, surrounded by sn looked like names or territorial signs.
