Chapter 314 Woman In The Picture
Alpha Damian POV
I stared at the woman on the screen while Flourish stood beside me, completely still.
The resemblance was enough to make anyone uneasy, but I refused to let the room turn panic into action.
“We’re not going there yet,” I said.
Flourish looked at me. “Damian.”
“We don’t know who she is, who is guarding that house, or whether this photograph was meant to make us come running.”
Her jaw tightened.
“I know you want answers. I want them too. But I’m not walking you into a trap because someone left us one photograph.”
She looked back at the screen.
“I don’t want to leave her there.”
“And we won’t.”
Rhys pulled the image onto the larger F–Tech display. He ran it through the company’s security software, comparing facial structure, age progression, lighting, and every piece of data attached to the surviving file.
The room stayed quiet while the system worked.
My wolf paced beneath my skin.
“Something is wrong,” he said.
“I know.”
Rhys finally turned the screen toward us.
“The original file was damaged, but I recovered the metadata. The camera captured this eleven days ago.”
Flourish stepped closer.
“Eleven days?”
“Yes. The timestamp is consistent across three backup fragments.”
He enlarged the woman’s face.
“She isn’t identical to you,” he continued. “Her jaw is different. Her eyes are slightly wider. Her nose is narrower. But the similarities are significant.”
He brought up Flourish’s archived bloodline records.
Rhys checked the image against older photographs from Garret’s files as well.
The woman’s face had changed with age, but the shape of her ears, the spacing of her eyes, and the pale mark near her left temple appeared in several childhood records connected to the second vessel.
It was not enough to identify her by itself, but it gave us another reason to take the photograph seriously.
Flourish stared at the enlarged image. Her fingers tightened around the edge of the table.
“She has my face.”
“Parts of it,” Rhys said carefully. “But she’s her own person.”
Callum had been silent until then.
He moved toward the screen.
“Then she could still be alive.”
Flourish turned to him..
“You said you were told she was taken somewhere safe.”
“I was.”
“But you never knew where.”
“No.”
“Then why are you suddenly certain?”
Callum looked at the photograph.
“Because the second vessel wasn’t just another child. Her blood carried a different expression of the First Alpha line. If she survived, her presence would be difficult to hide from wolves who knew what to look for.”
My wolf growled.
“Someone knew.”
I kept my attention on the screen.
“If this woman is the second vessel, the people who attacked the pack may already know.”
Rhys nodded. “The timing supports that.”
The photograph had been taken eleven days ago. The pack had disappeared recently. Someone had entered the territory, taken people alive, and searched for the missing heir.
That meant the woman could be the reason the entire pack was targeted.
I turned to Rhys.
“Can you find the exact house?”
“I can narrow it down.”
“Do it without sending a signal.”
He understood immediately.
“No external requests.”
“We don’t know who is watching F–Tech,” I said. “I don’t want anyone knowing we’re moving until we’re already there.”
Within twenty minutes, Rhys had isolated the location.
The house sat beyond the old Hollow Ridge settlement, hidden behind a line of abandoned pack structures. There was one access road, but several wooded paths around the property.
I studied the map.
“We take six wolves.”
Flourish looked at me.
“I am going.”

I rubbed my hand over my face.
