I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 103

Lily looked as though she had been struck by lightning, her mouth hanging open and her eyes wide with shock.

"Hey, what the hell are you talking about?"

Sienna's fingers tightened around her purse strap.

She lifted her chin, meeting his aggressive stare head-on.

Her face remained calm, though her heart was hammering against her ribs.

She spoke:

"Do you have proof of these accusations? As an artist, you should know that words have consequences. The law still applies here. Are you prepared to take responsibility for what you're saying?"

Paxton paused, clearly caught off guard by how composed she was.

At that moment, Lily finally snapped out of her shock.

She stepped in front of Sienna, her face flushed with fury.

"Are you out of your mind? I've been a fan of yours for eight years! I bought all your art books, and I never realized you were this kind of garbage! How dare you slander someone like this? You can't just spew nonsense without doing your research! Do you understand me?"

"Research? I don't need to do research. My friend is the victim. She told me herself. Are you saying she lied?" Paxton's eyes burned like torches as he locked onto Sienna.

"And who exactly is this friend of yours?" Lily yelled.

Paxton shot Lily a dismissive glare.

"That's none of your business."

He scoffed.

"If you're friends with her, you're probably no prize yourself. To think you're a fan of mine—what a joke."

"You!" Lily saw red, ready to unleash a string of curses.

Sienna grabbed her arm to hold her back.

She looked squarely at Paxton:

"Since you're so utterly convinced of your righteousness, why don't you just call your friend over? Let's settle this face-to-face."

Paxton looked mildly surprised.

"You've got quite the nerve. You don't look guilty at all. I almost believed you for a second."

Sienna fired back:

"Because I haven't done anything to feel guilty about. Well? Make the call. Otherwise, we are not done here today."

Paxton's heart skipped a beat.

She was a tough one.

But it didn't matter. He had nothing to hide; he was standing up for the truth.

The crowd of onlookers was growing. Paxton's manager rushed over, hissing desperately into his ear:

"Your Majesty, please, what are you doing? This is your solo show! You spent five years preparing for this Metropolis exhibition—it's incredibly important for your career. Are you trying to ruin your own show? Can't you just cool down?"

Lily practically shouted:

"Don't use bad social skills as an excuse! Insulting people and acting like trash has nothing to do with social skills!"

By this point, several people in the crowd had pulled out their phones.

The manager and the staff frantically tried to maintain order:

"Stop recording! Put the cameras away! No phones allowed—how did you even get those in?"

Paxton's temper finally boiled over.

"Sienna Sterling, you really are shameless. I guess anyone capable of being a mistress would have to be thick-skinned. It seems you won't give up until I spell it out for you. You really want to know who my friend is? Fine, I'll tell you."

He glared directly at Sienna's face.

"Chloe Cross. Sound familiar?"

Paxton waited for her to look horrified.

But she didn't.

Instead of shock, a flicker of realization—and sheer mockery—crossed Sienna's eyes.

"What... what is that look for?"

Sienna let out a dry laugh:
