Sienna abruptly stood up.
"You two have fun. I'm leaving."
Without another word, she turned on her heel and headed for the exit.
A loud commotion suddenly erupted from the stairwell.
Paxton and Lily emerged onto the terrace, still bickering. Lily was relentlessly tearing into him for misreading the GPS, while Paxton desperately tried to defend himself.
Their chaotic entrance perfectly blocked the only way out.
Catching sight of Sienna, Lily smiled and walked over.
"Sorry for the wait." Her smile vanished the second she saw the look on Sienna's face.
"What's wrong? Why is your face so red?"
Paxton peeked past them.
It took him exactly half a second to realize things had gone horribly sideways.
Finn was seated at the table, looking utterly murderous.
Isaac sat directly across from him, his collar still visibly rumpled from the assault.
Glancing back at Sienna's furious expression, Paxton put the puzzle pieces together and awkwardly cleared his throat.
"So... my bad, I forgot to mention I invited Captain Fletcher. I figured we're all friends here, so why not?"
Sienna shot him a glare that could freeze boiling water.
She knew damn well Paxton was the architect of this entire disaster.
Paxton winced, acutely aware he'd overstepped.
The truth was, after witnessing the raw, undeniable connection between Sienna and Finn back in Kanya, he had finally accepted reality.
They were still hopelessly in love. It was a tragedy to watch them throw it all away.
He just wanted to do one good deed before he left for good.
Judging by the toxic radiation wafting from the table, his good deed had just detonated like a landmine.
Sienna turned back to her best friend.
"I'm leaving. Are you coming?"
Lily glanced at Finn, assuming Sienna simply couldn't stomach breathing the same air as him.
She suddenly felt a pang of guilt, wondering if her earlier rant about the wedding had fueled Sienna's anger.
Lily quickly lowered her voice.
"Listen, I noticed my student deleted that post, so I called him. He said the family officially canceled the wedding. I think there might have been a massive misunderstanding."
Sienna let out an exhausted sigh.
"It doesn't matter. He can marry whoever he wants."
Paxton caught the word 'marry' and immediately intervened.
