"Fine."
Sienna agreed without a second thought.
Her blunt compliance caught Finn entirely off guard.
"You..."
"Don't say another word," Sienna said, turning her face away. "Text me the address."
She turned around and walked inside.
Standing beneath the sweet olive tree, Finn blinked in a daze before an involuntary smile broke across his face.
The more he thought about it, the happier he felt.
This was phenomenal news.
Sienna was willing to go see Arthur with him, which meant she was giving him a chance.
This was amazing. Truly amazing.
Early the next morning.
When Sienna pushed the door open, Finn was already waiting in the courtyard.
He had changed clothes, his jaw was cleanly shaven, and every trace of exhaustion had vanished from his face.
Parked next to him was the black SUV.
The one that had supposedly 'broken down.'
Of course. It wasn't broken at all.
Finn's smile faltered slightly under her gaze.
"The car is fine, I..."
"You already sent me the address," Sienna cut him off, her tone flat. "I can go by myself. Was there anything else?"
Finn's smile completely froze.
"Weren't we going together?"
Sienna cast a cool glance at him.
"When did I ever say I was going with you?"
Finn opened his mouth to speak.
She hadn't. He had just assumed it.
Sienna hoisted her medical bag over her shoulder and walked toward the reserve's medical station.
Finn hurried after her.
"If you go alone, Arthur won't even know who you are. He'll think it's incredibly weird. You really should go with me."
Sienna stopped.
He had a point.
She stayed silent for a few seconds.
"Then we'll go at two this afternoon. I still have the charity clinic this morning."
Finn's bright smile returned.
"Okay."
At three o'clock that afternoon, they arrived at Brookside Lane.
