I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 192

The elderly man's desperate cries echoed clearly through the crisp air.

Sienna stood there, motionless.

By the time Finn rushed over, the police cars had already driven off, leaving a circle of whispering onlookers in their wake.

Seeing Arthur sobbing helplessly on the ground, Finn hurried forward to support the old man.

Arthur's voice was hoarse with grief.

"Finn, take me to the police station. I need to demand answers. The cops can't just arrest innocent people like this!"

Finn remained silent.

He gently helped Arthur to his feet, exchanged a look with one of the nearby staff, and signaled for them to guide the old man away.

Only when Arthur's fragile figure disappeared around the bend did Finn finally turn to look at Sienna.

"Did you call the cops?"

Sienna said nothing.

"I'm asking you. Was it you?"

"Yes."

Finn stared at her, the light completely fading from his eyes.

"Sienna, how could you do this? What about Arthur? He's an old man, and Quincy is the only family he has left. We literally had dinner together last night. How could you turn around and do something so ruthless?"

Sienna met his gaze, her face an unreadable mask.

The damp wind swept up from the valley, carrying a biting chill.

"If he's innocent, the police will let him go."

Finn's arms dropped heavily to his sides.

"Sienna, after everything that has happened recently, I thought we were at least friends. Do you really need to keep your guard up against me like this?"

Sienna remained silent.

Fighting through a suffocating ache in his chest, Finn finally voiced the question that had been tearing him apart.

"I have every reason to believe that the moment you agreed to meet Arthur, you were just planning to use me. You never intended to forgive me, did you? Am I just a pawn to you?"

Sienna shot him a cool, detached glance.

"Think whatever you want. I have work to do."

With that, she turned on her heel and strode decisively back into the clinic.
