Maya chimed in from the side, "Dad, you're way too slow. I'll help you!"
Silas affectionately ruffled his daughter's hair. "Go play outside for a bit."
Maya's big eyes darted around. Knowing her dad and aunt needed to talk, she obediently trotted out of the room.
Felicia stood up and walked over to Silas's desk. "Silas, I'm sorry. You warned me before, but I was stubbornly determined to marry Ford. After six months of marriage, I finally see him for what he is. He's a complete hypocrite."
Silas couldn't bear to be harsh with her. "You're pregnant now. What are your plans?"
Felicia's eyes hardened with resolve. "I'm going to make Ford realize the cost of deceiving me."
"And the baby?"
"I'm keeping it. This is my child, and it has nothing to do with him."
She smiled at Silas. "I have money, and I can raise this baby on my own. As for the man, I'll take the child and ditch the father. I don't need him."
Silas looked at the younger sister he had adored and protected since childhood. Seeing her grow up overnight broke his heart.
"As long as you've thought it through. Whatever you decide, I have your back."
Felicia choked back a sob. "Thanks, Silas. You're my greatest pillar of strength."
Meanwhile, Maya slipped out of the office and went on a hospital-wide hunt for Sienna.
Sienna had just finished her ward rounds when she bumped into the adorable little girl in the corridor.
"Miss Sienna, I have a piano lesson tomorrow. Can you come with me?"
Sienna hesitated, feeling conflicted. She had to work tomorrow.
"I already asked your boss for your time off!" Maya declared triumphantly.
Sienna stared at her, speechless.
The boss's daughter clearly had boss privileges too.
The next day. Metropolis International Arts Center.
Sienna stood in the grand lobby, her feet resting on imported Italian marble, a magnificent Czech crystal chandelier suspended from the ceiling.
A Steinway grand piano sat elegantly near the reception desk, its lid open, the ivory keys gleaming under the warm lights.
A crystal display screen rotated through the tuition prices.
