Sienna realized instantly that something terrible was happening to Lily!
Someone incredibly important to her was being attacked, and she was entirely helpless to stop it!
The suffocating sense of despair almost crushed her.
She forced herself to stay rational and immediately dialed 911.
"Hello, I need to report an assault. An intruder broke into the Metropolis Film Academy faculty housing!"
"Ma'am, what is your relationship to the victim? Are you currently at the scene?"
"I'm not there. I heard it happening over the phone."
"Ma'am, can you provide the exact address?"
"Metropolis Film Academy, Faculty Housing, Building 30, Apartment 501."
After hanging up, she dialed another number.
It rang twice before he picked up.
"Sienna?"
"Isaac, are you in Metropolis?"
"I am. What's wrong?"
"Lily is in trouble. I've already called the police, but can you please head over there first? Just see if she's okay?"
Isaac didn't hesitate.
"Give me the address."
Sienna repeated the address.
"I'm on my way! Don't panic."
Hanging up the phone, Sienna leaned back against the headboard.
Her heart was racing out of control.
Why was it that everyone connected to her was falling apart, one disaster crashing into the next?
"Sienna, your fries are getting cold. Why aren't you eating?"
Noah walked over.
"I have to go back. Right now."
Sienna moved to get out of bed.
"Sienna, your fever hasn't even fully broken yet!"
Sienna grabbed her phone and opened a travel booking app.
From Riverdale to Metropolis, every single train ticket for today was sold out.
Tomorrow's were gone, too.
She swiped to the next day. There was exactly one ticket left, for 6:00 AM.
She stared at the 'Purchase' button, her finger hovering over the screen.
Eighteen hours.
She couldn't wait that long.
She decisively closed the transit app and opened a car rental service.
It was a four-hundred-mile drive from Riverdale to Metropolis.
There was exactly one car left in the local inventory.
She tapped reserve and processed the payment.
