I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 242

No matter how furious Finn was, his ingrained manners held strong. His tone remained gentle as he made sure to add, "Take good care of Sienna. She's been through a lot lately."

"Will do, will do. I know. Thanks, Finn."

Noah felt like there was something incredibly weird going on between the two of them.

Especially with his sister.

Noah set the takeout bag on the table.

"Sienna, spicy garlic wings and fries. Your absolute favorite."

Sienna lay on the bed, her back to him.

The blanket was pulled up to her shoulders, leaving only the back of her head visible, her hair splayed across the pillow.

"Sienna?"

"Just leave it there."

Her voice was muffled against the pillow, stripped of any readable emotion.

But Sienna knew exactly how much her heart was aching right now.

Noah placed the takeout container right by her bedside, where she could easily see it and catch a whiff of that sharp, savory aroma.

She loved heavily seasoned, messy foods like spicy wings and chili cheese fries.

But during the three years she dated Finn, she never touched them.

It wasn't that she didn't crave them; she just didn't want Finn to know she liked that kind of junk food.

Sienna couldn't help but wonder—during all her time with Finn, how many days had she actually been her true self? How often had she put on an act just to maintain an image and make him believe she was worthy of him?

Well, it was fine now.

She didn't have to pretend anymore.

She could be completely, utterly herself.

Her phone rang, shattering her train of thought.

It was a call from Lily.

"How are your dad and brother doing?"

"They're both fine now." Sienna gave her a brief rundown of the situation.

Lily suddenly spoke up.

"Bestie, I think I messed up."

"What happened?" Sienna asked.

"Remember when you asked to borrow money a few days ago? You told me you were heading back to Riverdale. Well, that night, I ran into Isaac after work. He asked me to grab dinner, so I went. I accidentally mentioned you went back to Riverdale, but I didn't say why. Thinking back on it now... was he fishing for information? But then again, he seems like a decent guy, not the type to play games like that. I wasn't entirely sure, so I figured I better give you a heads-up."

Sienna understood immediately.

She had been wondering why Finn had suddenly shown up here.
