I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 264

"No trouble at all," Sienna answered without a second's hesitation.

She stood up and walked back out to the balcony, her fingertips brushing against the thick, vibrant green leaf of a monstera.

When she turned back around, a brilliant, unrestrained smile broke across her face.

"Thank you so much."

Looking at her, Lawrence suddenly understood why Mr. Fletcher had gone through such agonizing lengths just to make this girl happy.

Young people these days really took courting to a whole new level.

Down in the café, Finn stared at the text Lawrence had just sent:

[Lease signed. She absolutely loves the balcony plants. She's thrilled.]

He read the message twice before clutching the phone tightly against his chest.

Through the silence, he could almost hear Sienna's crisp, melodic voice echoing in his mind.

"Mr. Miller, I'll wire the rent to your card ending in 4561 every quarter right on time."

Up on the twelfth floor, there was merely a single wooden door and a few feet separating them.

Yet Finn couldn't open that door. He didn't dare let Sienna know the truth—that he hadn't just bought Unit 1202. He had also secretly purchased the spacious three-bedroom apartment directly across the hall.

Two units per floor. Neighbors.

He had exhausted his resources and planned every meticulous detail just for this moment—just to be closer to her. To exist within her orbit.

Without disturbing her. Without her ever knowing.

Finn stood leaning against his own front door in the dark for a long time.

Until he heard the elevator ding and Sienna's footsteps fade away completely.

-

Three days later.

Sienna took a personal day to officially move in.

"Sienna, I'm totally your good luck charm. I just get to Metropolis, and you immediately upgrade to this gorgeous place. That old apartment was a dump," Noah said with a grin.

"Shut up and keep moving boxes, or I'm sending you straight back to Riverdale."

Noah obediently snapped his mouth shut and began hauling cardboard boxes out of the elevator.

As the doors slid open, he hoisted a box and stepped into the hallway—only to freeze in his tracks.

Finn was standing right there, holding a garbage bag, about to head down to the disposal.

"Finn?" Noah whispered loudly. "What are you doing here?"

Finn's heart practically stopped.

"You're moving today?"

He had been tipped off that the move was happening two days from now.

He quickly glanced behind Noah. Thank God the kid was alone.

Finn grabbed Noah by the shoulders.
