That final sentence struck directly at Sienna's heart.
She was a traditional woman.
She had never planned on never marrying or having children.
And if she was going to marry and have kids, it only made sense to choose the strongest partner available.
The man sitting in front of her, Silas, was unequivocally the best choice in terms of appearance, character, family background, and sheer power.
A man like Silas had no shortage of women.
Why did he choose her?
Sienna simply couldn't figure it out, and harboring such an unknown variable left her feeling deeply unsettled.
"No need to answer right away." Silas stood up. "I'll give you time to consider it carefully."

When Sienna returned home that evening, she glanced at the door across the hall as she passed.
She still hadn't met this neighbor.
As soon as she walked in, Noah rushed over.
"Sienna, did you see today's trending topics? The CEO of The Fletcher Group got cheated on by his mistress, it's hilarious." He shoved his phone in her face. "They scrubbed the search so fast, but my hands were faster, I bookmarked it. Here, look."
Sienna pushed his hand away.
"I don't want to look."
"Sienna, Ford Fletcher, Finn Fletcher... these names are too similar. Does Finn know him?"
Sienna was incredibly annoyed.
She pulled the front door open.
"Noah, get out."
Noah was shoved to the doorway, and just as he was about to protest, he looked up and saw the elevator doors open.
Finn walked out.
Noah's face instantly twisted in panic.
Fortunately, Sienna had her back to the door and couldn't see.
"What's with that look?" Sienna instinctively turned her head.
"Nothing, nothing!" Noah grabbed her shoulders, spun her back around, and pushed her inside.
"Sienna, I'm leaving. Get some peace and quiet."
He closed the door for her.
Once the door was shut, Noah leaned against it, waited a moment, and then turned around.
Finn was still standing by the elevator.
"Finn, come on out," Noah whispered.
Finn unlocked his door, and Noah followed him inside.
"Damn, Finn, your place is huge! This has got to be over two thousand square feet, right? You live here alone? What a waste! Sienna and I are crammed into a tiny one-bedroom, and you could ride a bike in here!"
Finn picked up a brand-new smartphone from the kitchen island and handed it over.
"For you."
