I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 392

She never believed in last-minute cramming.

Her confidence came from the countless days and nights of pouring her absolute all into her preparation.

At seven in the evening, her dorm room at Serenity Books was still stiflingly hot. Even with the air conditioner running, the air felt sticky and uncomfortable.

She headed outside.

The night breeze washed over her, carrying the thick heat of late summer mingled with a crisp hint of impending autumn.

She walked aimlessly along the sidewalk.

Suddenly, she realized she had wandered down a very familiar path.

She knew this road far too well. Back in college, whenever she couldn't sleep before an exam, Finn would take her for a walk in this park.

They would stroll slowly along the lake. The water reflected the lights from the opposite shore, rippling in the wind and scattering into a shimmering sea of gold.

Her feet traced the stone-paved path, the damp evening mist making it slightly cool beneath her shoes.

She thought to herself, after all these years, she actually still remembered this route.

"Sienna."

Her heart skipped a beat, and she spun around in surprise.

Finn stood just a few steps away.

He wore a crisp white button-down, his broad shoulders filling out the fabric perfectly, the collar slightly undone.

The smooth lines of his chest kept the shirt taut, tapering down to a lean waist. He looked incredibly sharp and imposing.

He slowly walked closer, stopping right in front of her.

He was a full head taller than her, his shadow stretching from his feet and completely enveloping her.

"What a coincidence," he smiled, the bright moonlight reflecting in his eyes.

Sienna's heart pounded uncontrollably.

This visceral, physical attraction hit her so suddenly every time. She had absolutely no control over it.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

"I just finished prepping for the bid and stepped out for some fresh air." The joy in his eyes was impossible to hide. "You still remember this path."
