Pulling Lily up, Sienna didn't head toward the restroom, but straight for the bar's back door.

Pushing it open, the night breeze rushed in. Lily stood on the steps, her shoulders trembling, before the tension that had been building inside her finally snapped. She threw herself into Sienna's arms, burying her face in her shoulder. Her muffled sobs were suppressed against the fabric, yet completely uncontrollable.

Sienna didn't say a word, simply patting her back gently.

Once Lily had cried most of it out, her muffled voice spoke from against Sienna's shoulder.

"Sienna, you saw it. Isaac just doesn't care about me. He's always so detached, like a robot running on a pre-set program. Whenever I'm upset, he never knows how to handle it." She sniffled. "When I think about spending the rest of my life with a guy like that, it breaks my heart."

Sienna didn't know how to respond.

In her eyes, Isaac hadn't really done anything wrong.

Living together meant solving problems and getting things done. If Lily stated a need, he fulfilled it.

As for emotions—weren't emotions something you had to manage yourself?

"But his heart isn't in it." Lily lifted her head, her eyes still red. "Look how intensely Finn treats you. He notices every little detail, and he catches every single emotion you throw at him. Isaac has never treated me like that."

Sienna was left speechless.

Inside the quiet bar, the glass in front of Isaac was empty for the third time.

Finn glanced toward the door, then turned his head.

"Your girlfriend went out to cry, and my girlfriend is out there comforting her."

Isaac set his glass down.

"What is she crying about? What did I even do to her?"

Finn sighed.

"Isaac, you're dense. Lily just wants you to say something sweet to coax her. You're always so rigid, never giving her what she actually wants."

Isaac frowned.
