I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 535

Lily suddenly grabbed Sienna's hand, interrupting her thoughts.

"Sienna, I don't know if it's just my pregnancy hormones acting up, but I've been so suspicious of Isaac lately."

Sienna looked up and saw that Lily's eyes were red.

"Isaac isn't that kind of guy."

She said it to comfort Lily, but she was also trying to convince herself.

Lily shook her head.

"The day he proposed at the hillside estate, I was so moved. I told him I was pregnant right then and there, and he was absolutely thrilled."

Sienna smiled.

"Isn't that wonderful? He's excited to be a dad."

Lily shook her head again.

"But his excitement only lasted a few days. Now, he's so indifferent, it's like the baby doesn't even exist."

Sienna honestly didn't think it was a big deal, but considering Lily's emotional state, she asked gently, "How do you want him to act?"

Lily looked miserable.

"If he were truly looking forward to this baby, shouldn't his joy as a soon-to-be father last throughout my entire pregnancy? But look at him now. It feels like this pregnancy is mine alone to bear. I feel so defeated. Plus, he's been acting incredibly secretive lately and won't let me look at his phone. I can't help but let my imagination run wild."

She let out a heavy sigh.

"If Isaac is this cold now, he probably won't lift a finger to help me once the baby is born. The thought of giving birth and raising this child all by myself breaks my heart."

"Don't jump to conclusions," Sienna comforted her. "Everyday life is naturally quite mundane. Try to relax."

Lily looked at Sienna with envy in her eyes.

"Everyone is different. Just watch—when you get pregnant, Finn will be overwhelmingly enthusiastic. He'll treat you like a princess and dote on your every need."

Sienna offered a bitter smile.

"I haven't thought that far ahead, and I don't dare to get my hopes up. I just want to cherish the present and live a normal life."
