I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 563

Sienna was in her office, reviewing the budget for The Community Health Bridge project.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Sienna... I couldn't hold back, and I absolutely laid into Mrs. Cross."

Sienna's pen paused on the paper.

"Mrs. Cross?"

"Yes... your mother." Georgina's voice shrank. "I'm sorry, Sienna. I know she's your mom, and I shouldn't have..."

"What did she do?" Sienna cut to the chase.

Georgina was stunned for a second, totally unprepared for Sienna to ask that first.

Sienna set her pen down.

"I know exactly what my mother is like, and I know exactly what you are like. Tell me what happened."

The drama had started that morning.

Lydia had been staying in Metropolis for quite some time now.

She was living in the luxury apartment Finn provided, and he had even hired a private tour guide to show the older couple around the city's attractions.

They had a private chauffeur and didn't have to spend a dime.

Lydia had never lived such an effortlessly glamorous life. Her ego was practically soaring into the stratosphere.

That morning, Lydia announced she wanted to visit Noah at his university to see how he was doing.

When she told Finn, he immediately dispatched his assistant.

The assistant drove Lydia to a massive supermarket for a massive shopping spree.

Snacks, fresh fruit, daily necessities—they bought everything.

Then, the chauffeur drove the older couple straight to Noah's campus.

To see her son, Lydia had dressed up in her new forest green coat, tied a silk scarf around her neck, and wore a pair of black heels.

When she arrived, Noah wasn't actually there.

He was next door at the medical university, helping Georgina move dorms.

Once Lydia found out, she dropped her bags and marched straight over to the medical campus.

Georgina had moved to a new room. She didn't have a lot of stuff, but Noah ran up and down the stairs three times, a thin layer of sweat breaking out on his forehead.

Georgina offered him water, but he waved it off, insisting on carrying the last box upstairs first.

Lydia stood at the bottom of the dorm stairs, watching the scene unfold, her brow slowly knitting into a fierce scowl.

When Noah came down from his final trip, he spotted her.

"Mom? What are you doing here?"
