Sienna stood in silence, the sea breeze whipping her hair into a tangled mess.
The doctor continued, "But try not to panic too much. Metropolis has top specialists in this exact field. The administration has already made arrangements. Once he's back, we'll organize a multidisciplinary consultation to get a precise diagnosis of Captain Fletcher's condition."
Sienna nodded.
"Thank you for everything."
She turned and walked back into the tent.
She sat down next to Finn.
There was roughly a fist's width of distance between them, and neither of them spoke.
After a long while, she finally said,
"Finn, we're going back to Metropolis."
The plane touched down in Metropolis at noon the following day.
Originally, several Global Air executives and related personnel were supposed to escort him.
But Finn had stated unequivocally that he was perfectly fine and required no entourage.
In the end, Sienna was the only one left by his side.
A bizarre sense of 'honor' even flickered in Sienna's mind—she was the only one he hadn't dismissed.
But despite letting her stay, Finn barely spoke to her the entire trip.
He had gotten his phone back and spent the whole time scrolling through it.
From her angle, Sienna couldn't see what he was looking at.
She decided to just let him be.
Sienna was incredibly busy herself, frantically looking up medical literature and case studies, desperately trying to understand exactly what was wrong with him.
They walked out of the airport terminal.
Finn walked in front, with Sienna trailing behind him, maintaining a strict three-foot distance at all times.
Suddenly, Finn stopped in his tracks.
Sienna nearly collided into his back.
"My car is parked in Sector B of the underground garage," Finn stated.
Sienna was stunned for a moment.
After all this time, he still remembered exactly where he parked.
His memory was terrifyingly sharp.
"We need to go to the hospital first," Sienna said.
