"Master Thorne?" Bonnie was slightly taken aback, but she offered a polite smile. "If you've personally examined the patient, why would you need me?"
After all, she had witnessed Nathaniel's skills firsthand. Whether it was his diagnostic eye or his treatment methods, he was leagues beyond any ordinary physician.
"The old fool is stubborn. He served in the military and accumulated a lifetime of injuries, but he firmly rejects Western medicine. He won't even let me touch him, throwing a tantrum every time I try to treat him."
Nathaniel sighed helplessly. "You, on the other hand, have a very charming presence. Give it a try. It might just work."
Without hesitation, Bonnie slung her bag over her shoulder and followed Nathaniel into the rear nursing building.
Thanks to Nathaniel's endorsement, the retired veteran didn't put up much resistance against Bonnie's treatment.
While speaking to the old man in a soft, soothing voice, Bonnie discreetly took his pulse.
Nathaniel sat nearby, occasionally tossing out incredibly complex medical questions.
Bonnie knew he was testing her, but also seeking a genuine exchange of ideas. She held nothing back, answering everything candidly.
Her logic was crystal clear, cutting straight to the core of the issue. She even engaged in a brief debate with Nathaniel on the spot, proposing several innovative treatment strategies.
"Excellent. The younger generation truly is formidable."
Listening to her analysis, Nathaniel couldn't help but clap his hands, his eyes shining with profound admiration for her talent.
Bonnie checked her phone and saw it was almost five o'clock.
Anxious that Quentin wouldn't be able to find her, she grew rushed.
"Master Thorne, I have to run. A friend is picking me up soon."
She quickly scribbled a prescription and handed it to the nurse, leaving her phone number as well.
"This is a recovery regimen. Call me anytime if anything happens."
Bonnie practically jogged out of the retirement estate gates.
She was just about to check her phone to see if Quentin had replied when a black Maybach suddenly pulled up in front of her.
The driver's side window slowly rolled down.
Parrish York's aristocratic but thunderous face appeared behind the glass.
"Bonnie, what are you doing here?"
Parrish furrowed his brows, his voice dripping with intense disapproval.
Bonnie stopped in her tracks, her own brow immediately creasing in annoyance.
Looking up, she noticed Seraphina sitting in the passenger seat.
Dressed in a designer tweed jacket, Seraphina shot her a challenging, provocative look.
