I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 164

Since she couldn't avoid it, she might as well go see just how shameless he could possibly be.

The moment she stepped into the room, Bonnie cut straight to the chase, not bothering with a single wasted word.

"Parrish, I'm warning you. I have irrefutable proof that Seraphina wrote the wrong prescription, and I will absolutely not take the fall for her."

In his hospital bed, Parrish looked at her, his eyes full of disappointment.

"Bonnie, are you really resorting to such underhanded tactics just to get revenge on me? Do you absolutely have to frame Seraphina?"

Bonnie was practically driven to laughter by his utter absurdity.

"Is your brain filled with cement? Seraphina clearly wrote the wrong prescription herself, so how did it become me framing her? Did I crawl into her head and force her hand to write that prescription?"

"If you want to play favorites with your lover, there's no need to blatantly lie to my face. Isn't that disgusting?"

Parrish's face darkened, suppressing his anger. "Are you honestly going to tell me you haven't thought about getting revenge on me?"

Bonnie fixed her death glare on him. "Yes, I do want revenge, and I wish I could kill you!"

"Let me ask you: when my father was gravely ill, in so much agony he couldn't sleep a wink all night, you had clearly already regained your memory. Why were you able to just turn a blind eye?"

Parrish scoffed, turning his head away. "He brought that on himself."

Bonnie felt as if she had been struck by lightning, unable to believe her ears.

The man her father had treated exactly like his own son actually possessed the gall to say he "brought it on himself."

Her eyes turned instantly bloodshot.

Tears swirled in her eyes, but she clenched her teeth and forced them back down.

In that moment, an icy hatred radiated from her entire body, and her hands shook violently.

"Parrish, if murder weren't a crime, I really wish I could kill you right now!"

Parrish stared at her hate-filled eyes and suddenly let out a laugh, his gaze brimming with mockery.

"You are always exactly like this. You don't know the whole truth, so you just blindly misunderstand me and throw all the blame onto me. Back then, if I hadn't begged you to take me in, do you think I'd be alive today?"

Bonnie's mind was a complete mess, completely unable to fathom why he was suddenly saying this.

The hatred burned wildly in her chest like a wildfire, incinerating the last shreds of her rationality.

"Parrish, if I had a choice, I'd wish that when I found you on the back of that mountain five years ago, you were nothing more than a stone-cold corpse! Not this venomous snake, clinging to me and eating me alive bite by bite!"

"I truly hope you never find a cure for the rest of your life and just rot away in a ditch!"
