Bonnie's mind went blank, entirely dumbfounded.
She stared wide-eyed in disbelief at the handsome face just inches away.
It wasn't until the scorching, damp sensation pressed against her lips that she finally realized what this man was doing.
She frantically brought her hands up, pressing them against his broad, solid chest, using all her strength to push him away.
But the physical disparity between them was too vast. The man stood before her like a heavy, immovable wall.
Instead of pushing him away, her struggles only seemed to silently ignite a deeper loss of control within him.
A low, muffled groan rumbled in Quentin's throat. With one hand, he seized both her wrists and pinned them securely above her head.
His other hand slid to the back of her slender neck, forcing her to tilt her head up and endure the increasingly ferocious kiss.
Tinged with the taste of hard liquor, his kiss came down like a crushing force.
He kissed her deeply and heavily, practically stealing every last drop of oxygen from her lungs.
Bonnie was kissed until her head spun. Her mind went completely blank, and even breathing became a struggle.
This was the first time she had ever been treated with such dominant, overwhelming intensity.
In a fleeting moment of surrender, that fiercely oppressive masculine energy even sparked a strange, trembling sense of sinking within her.
But panic quickly overpowered instinct, and reason reclaimed her mind.
After a brief moment of helpless confusion, Bonnie hardened her heart and bit down hard amidst their tangled breath.
"Ugh..."
The metallic tang of blood instantly bloomed between their lips.
The sharp pain made the intoxicated Quentin freeze.
Wincing, he released her and took a slight step back, as if he had finally regained a shred of clarity.
Yet, he still didn't let her go.
Those deep, dark eyes, now glazed with a crimson haze, remained locked onto her face.
Bonnie leaned against the wall, her chest heaving violently, gasping for air with her lips parted.
He was very tall, and as he leaned over, his warm breath still brushed against her skin.
