A few minutes ago, in the banquet hall.
Burning with rage, Zachary clutched his swollen cheek, gritted his teeth, and stormed out of the elevator.
That punch from Quentin earlier had practically been a death blow.
In all his life, Zachary had never taken such a brutal hit.
He immediately spotted Parrish in the center of the hall, holding a glass of champagne and chatting with guests.
"Parrish!"
Zachary roared like an enraged panther and charged forward.
Before Parrish could react, a heavy fist carrying the force of the wind smashed viciously into the side of his face.
"Crash!"
The champagne flute hit the marble floor, shattering into countless jagged pieces as alcohol splashed everywhere.
The wealthy socialites around them shrieked in terror, stumbling backward.
The punch sent Parrish staggering, nearly knocking over the nearby champagne tower.
"Zac! What are you doing!"
Vivian rushed over, her face etched with shock.
Wincing in pain, Zachary pointed at his red, swollen cheek and immediately began complaining to his sister.
"Ask him what the hell he did! This great fiancé of yours decided to send a woman to my bed—and not just any woman, but Quentin's wife! Quentin hits hard enough to punch through brick walls! I swear my jaw is practically fractured!"
The surrounding guests erupted into an uproar, whispering frantically as their eyes darted between the group.
Parrish's head buzzed. Finally steadying himself, he looked entirely bewildered.
"What woman? Zachary, are you out of your mind? When did I ever send a woman to you?"
Zachary sneered. "Keep playing dumb! Keep acting!"
"Everyone knows you and your brother don't get along. Now that he's back, you didn't want to go through with the alliance with the Xavier family, so you tried to pawn it off on him. But then he went and got married on a whim. You were pissed, so you pulled this cheap trick to get back at him—and dragged me down with you!"
"Your family was the one begging for this marriage, and now you have the nerve to pull these stunts. Do you really think our family is a bunch of pushovers?"
The more Zachary spoke, the angrier he got. He grabbed Vivian's arm.
"Vivian, we're leaving! This engagement is off!"
