I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 273

Bonnie couldn't help but smile.

For the next while, the two of them walked through the Conservatory, deep in conversation.

Meredith didn't look like your typical, austere medical practitioner, but the moment the topic shifted to botanicals, her entire demeanor changed.

She could tell at a glance which bed had been overwatered recently and which plant lacked deep root vitality. She effortlessly rattled off the chemical differences in common herbs based on the region they were grown in.

The more Bonnie listened, the more she realized that Meredith was an absolute force to be reckoned with.

Their conversation was only interrupted when Meredith's phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen, and a delicate brow arched upward.

"Ugh, so annoying." She shoved the phone into her designer bag and turned to Bonnie. "Hey, an emergency just came up, I've got to run. Tell Master Thorne I'm sorry, and we'll catch up later!"

With that, she spun on her heel and strode off, every step radiating effortless confidence.

Watching her leave, Bonnie turned to Quentin. "Not everyone hates me here. She's amazing."

Quentin didn't disagree. "Yeah."

He stayed by Bonnie's side as she continued exploring the botanical gardens.

She took dozens of photos and diligently memorized the growing habits of several incredibly rare plants.

It wasn't until a staff member from the front courtyard came to announce that lunch was ready that they finally headed back.

When they returned to the dining room, Nathaniel Thorne was already seated at the head of the table. Bonnie walked over and quietly relayed that Meredith had to leave.

Hearing this, Nathaniel let out a helpless sigh.

"That girl is always the first to bolt." He scoffed lightly. "Who knows which random guy dragged her away this time."

Bonnie: "..."

She silently looked down at her plate, too afraid to ask.

Over time, she would learn that Meredith was the most unconventional of all her master's disciples.
