Orion grabbed the other boy’s clothes and wouldn’t let go, his face full of hostility. “Say it again. I dare you!”
The little boy cried hysterically and hid in his mother’s arms.
Nevin frowned and stepped forward to pull Orion in front of him.
“Dad…”
Seeing him, Orion’s anger subsided. He bit his lip and glared defiantly at the boy he’d beaten
“Well, well!
“So you’re his father!”
Bethany Newman looked Nevin up and down, then immediately hugged her wailing son, Arlo Newman. “Look what your son did to my boy!
“Do you know how precious my son is? His father and I have never even laid a hand on him, and your son dares to hit him.”
Nevin’s striking appearance and distinguished bearing, as well as his perfectly tailored suit, made it clear he had money.
Bethany said viciously, “Pay up, or I’ll sue you and make sure your son can’t stay at this school!
“Oh, my poor baby is only six years old, and he’s been beaten like this! What if he’s traumatized? It’ll affect his studies. What are we going to do?”
The more Bethany talked, the more worked up she got, covering every aspect of how this would impact Arlo.
Nevin watched coldly.
Bethany seemed to sense it and snapped, “You’ll pay for everything I just mentioned, or I’ll sue you for everything you’ve got!”
Once Bethany had finished her tirade, Nevin looked down at his son.
“Why did you hit him?”
“He deserved it!” Orion looked completely unrepentant. “I didn’t do anything wrong, Dad. Don’t even think about making me apologize.”

:
Orion pouted, cutting off whatever Nevin was about to say.
“He insulted me first!”
“Is that true?” Nevin’s cold gaze swept to the teacher standing nearby.
The teacher smiled awkwardly and nodded.

Seeing this, Bethany said sarcastically, “So what if my son insulted him a couple of times. That’s no reason to hit someone. Besides, even if my son insulted him first, that doesn’t justify your son throwing punches!”
She felt she had the moral high ground. Whoever threw the first punch was in the wrong.
Nevin didn’t want to waste time arguing with her. He held Orion’s hand and said, “I’ll get to the bottom of this.”
“You’ll get to the bottom of it?” Bethany laughed in disbelief. “Your son hit someone, and you think you’re in the right!
“Just you wait. My husband will be here any minute. He’ll destroy you!”
Bethany raised her chin arrogantly. She wore a diamond necklace around her neck, giving her the air of a society wife.
Her husband was the team leader of a project group at Blackwell Group headquarters.
With the mighty Blackwell Group backing them, they had connections. Who would dare to mess with them?
“Who the hell dares to bully my
son?”
Lionel Newman came storming in. Before anyone could see him, his angry voice had already reached them.
“Honey, thank God you’re here! If you’d come any later, your son and I would’ve been bullied to death!”
Bethany threw herself into Lionel’s arms like a drama queen, playing the victim.
“What?”
Lionel’s voice grew even louder. He was about to demand who dared to bully his wife and child when his eyes swept the school office looking for the culprit.
Nevin’s face was as cold as ice. The other party had already cursed at him twice.
