“Find Orion a top-rated tutor and arrange extra lessons.”

Joe was surprised but quickly recovered. “Yes, Mr. Blackwell.”

As he left, it occurred to him that Orion had never needed a tutor when Demi was around.

Everything had been fine, but now it had escalated to filing for divorce.

Joe thought about Rhea hovering around Nevin and shook his head, dismissing his messy thoughts.

He was just an assistant. Nevin’s private life wasn’t his business.

As soon as Joe left, Rhea came in carrying documents for Nevin.

“Mr. Blackwell.”

Rhea greeted him, her eyes subtly showing her infatuation as she glanced at Nevin. As usual, she gently set down the documents and spotted the invitations sitting to the side.

And there were exactly two of them.

Her eyes

lit up. She said casually, “Are those tnvitations to Snow Group’s event? Mr. Blackwell, shall I accompany you?”

Snow Group had a foundation as deep as Blackwell Group’s, so receiving invitations was perfectly normal.

A calculating gleam flashed in Rhea’s eyes. If she accompanied Nevin, her role as his female companion would be enough to make the outside world misunderstand their relationship.

Moreover, attending an event at Snow Group’s level would allow her to network with even higher-tier connections.

Nevin didn’t even look up. At Rhea’s words, he almost nodded instinctively.

Demi’s image flashed through his mind. His lips parted. “No need.”

Rhea’s graceful smile-the one she’d copied from Demi-froze.

Nevin refused?

But in the past, hadn’t he…

Demi wasn’t at Blackwell Villa anymore. If Nevin didn’t take her to the event, who else would he bring?

Rhea kept her expression neutral and replied professionally, “Alright,” before leaving the executive office.

At the doorway, Rhea glanced back. She didn’t know why Nevin had refused her.

But she absolutely had to attend Snow Group’s event.

Immediately, Rhea returned to her office and searched through her contacts for a number.

“Hello, Mr. Bree? This is Rhea, Mr. Blackwell’s secretary. I’m not sure if you remember me?

“Yes. There’s a personal matter I wanted to ask you about. I was wondering if you have an invitation to Snow Group’s event. Should we meet to discuss it?”

At 7 p.m., at a steakhouse.

“Ms. Dunn, it’s been a few months. Your grace and charm have become even more captivating.”

“You’re too kind, Mr. Bree.” Rhea smiled politely at the middle-aged man with glasses sitting across from her.

Inwardly, she felt slightly uncomfortable. Instead of praising her competence and abilities, he jumped straight to complimenting her appearance.

Rhea knew better than anyone that her so-called grace and style were completely copied from Demi.

“Mr. Bree, I heard you have extensive partnerships with Snow Group. I imagine you must have spare invitations lying around.”

A flash of displeasure crossed Rhea’s eyes. Gordon Bree’s blatant leering infuriated her.

Still, she wasn’t afraid he would dare to use despicable tactics against her just because he’d asked her out.

After all, she belonged to Nevin-his secretary,

Anyone who wanted to scheme against her would have to consider whether they could afford to offend Nevin.

Therefore, facing Gordon, Rhea didn’t feel too vulnerable.
