Chapter 98 Jealous Woman
“No!”
She wasn’t giving in. Whatever Demi had, she was going to take it all. Piece by piece.

Demi’s face showed zero patience. Nevin and Orion were getting on her nerves.
Carol saw it. Demi still had a wall up when it came to Orion. So Carol gave up trying to fix things between them.
Nevin pulled his usual move again. He dropped by the now Mansion looking to mooch off dinner.
But when he heard Demi was working late and wouldn’t be home, his brow twitched. He kept his expression polite around Carol and her husband.
“I’ll bring her something to eat.”
Demi had only taken a few days to “rest.” Now she was back to working long hours. Clearly, she wasn’t taking care of herself.
“I wanna go too! I’m bringing dinner to Mom!” Orion bounced beside him.
Nevin didn’t say yes. He figured Demi was sick of Orion clinging to her all the time. That’s probably why she chose to stay late. Easier than facing him at home.
Still, he didn’t say that out loud. No point hurting Orion more.
“Ms. Snow, a Mr. Blackwell is here. He brought you dinner.”
The receptionist reached for the desk phone and dialed Demi’s desk number. She kept sneaking looks at Nevin from the corner of her eye,
This guy looked unreal. Sharp features, expensive vibe, at least six-foot-two…
She caught a glimpse of his torso through the edge of his suit. Her brain whispered, Bet he’s got abs under there.
And the kicker? This dreamboat brought dinner for Demi.
She felt like screaming.
She was just a receptionist. She didn’t mingle with executives.
She didn’t even know this man was the Blackwell Groups CEO.
All she could think was, Ms. Snow really knows how to live
She was still drooling with envy when Demi’s cold voice rang out over the phone. “Leave the food. He can leave.”
The receptionist froze.

Had she heard that right?
She was about to confirm when the line cut off.
“I’m sorry. You can just leave it here. Ms. Snow said … you can go now.”
Her face turned red. She didn’t want to say something that harsh to a man like this.
She had no idea how Demi managed to do it.
Nevin’s expression went flat. His voice dropped. “I’m not leaving until I see her eat.”

Pregnant women skipping meals? That was a hell no. It messed with their moods, hurt their bodies, and was bad for the baby too.
The receptionist blinked at him, still stunned. Nevin raised an eyebrow, growing impatient. “Call her again.”
“Right, okay!”
She scrambled to dial again, not even stopping to wonder why she was taking orders from him now.
“Hi, Ms. Snow? He said… he’s not leaving unless he sees you eat…”
“He can leave it or take it. If he won’t leave it, tell him to get lost!”
