Chapter 76
“No,” Joseph said, shoving the papers back. His eyes were wild, bloodshot. “I’m not signing. If I don’t sign, the bond stays Tell her that. Tell her! know I messed up. I’ll change. I’ll get rid of that she wolf. I’ll spend my whole life making it right”
Kaelen watched the Alpha come apart. For a second, he almost felt sorry for him. Then the professional mask slipped back on
“Alpha Joseph,” he said, calm “Ms. Lois thought you might say that.”
He let out a slow breath. Instead of more papers, he pointed to Joseph’s phone.
“She told me to tell you something. If you’re really not going to let go… check your private email first. The encrypted one
He paused. “It’s the last thing she left for you.”

His hands shook as he grabbed his phone. He hadn’t opened that inbox in forever.
There it was. The newest email. From ‘Lois.’
No message. Just one attachment. The file name: [Goodbye).

That quiet torture… it was worse than a silver knife.
Joseph couldn’t breathe. He grabbed at his chest. No air.
It was him. He gave Ada the knife. He let her cut me, over and over.
He couldn’t look anymore. One more second, and he’d turn into a monster.
He stood up fast. His face was dark. Dead.
“Mr. Joseph?” Ka len’s voice wavered.

He walked out.
In his car, he slammed the door. Locked it. A wave of killing intent filled the space. The Alpha pressure was thick
