Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 707

"Yes," Francisco finally gave a serious update. "Word just came in from Tigerwind Island—Felix escaped again."

Aaron frowned at the news.

Ryan didn’t look surprised at all. "Honestly, I expected nothing less. He’s got guts."

Aaron couldn’t help but jump in, "You two should be careful. If something really happens to Felix on that island—"

"Don’t worry, Mr. Morris," Francisco said quickly. "With Mr. Baker’s skills, he’s not in any real danger. He’s basically cleared every level on that island at this point. We’ve caught him four times and he’s slipped away four times. Every time, we put him somewhere new, but now we’re running out of places to stash him."

Aaron was silent for a moment.

Ryan just chuckled. "He isn’t getting captured. He’s searching for someone."

"Searching for someone?" Aaron raised an eyebrow, confused. "But Amelia hasn’t even shown up on the island yet."

Ryan didn’t answer. Instead, his face suddenly twisted in pain and he started coughing hard, almost violently.

Right then, Dr. Wilson came rushing in with his team. Aaron quietly stepped out of the hospital room without being told.

As the door closed behind him, Ryan’s coughing got worse—a raw, desperate sound that made Aaron’s back tense. He heard Dr. Wilson shout, "Hurry, get the painkillers!"

Aaron stiffened but didn’t look back. He just kept walking down the hallway.

He left the hospital and got into his car. His driver greeted him politely, "Mr. Morris, should I take you back to the office or straight to the airport for your flight to Switzerland?"

Aaron looked at his crowded calendar, exhaled slowly, and said, "Let’s go to the airport."

"Of course."

The car slipped into the night. Then Aaron’s phone buzzed—a new message.

Diana: [Mr. Morris, I just finished my shoot! Are you free? I want to take you to the best food spot in Alson Creek!]

She followed it up with a dancing emoji.

Aaron stared at the little cartoon for a few seconds, then changed his mind on the spot.

"We’re not going to the airport anymore," he said, opening Diana’s message and showing the address to his driver. "Let’s go here instead."

"Yes, sir."

The driver entered the address and started following the GPS. But as they drove, Aaron noticed the streets getting sketchier, the buildings looking older and more run-down.

The driver glanced back, a little uneasy. "Mr. Morris, are you sure this is the right place?"

Aaron didn’t even blink. "Just follow the GPS."

Diana opened her mouth, but before she could say a word, a sharp pain shot through her arm.

With a quick, brutal move, Aaron had dislocated her shoulder.

She let out a scream, but Aaron clapped a hand over her mouth.

"Sorry, Ms. Brooks," he said, sounding genuinely apologetic and a little exasperated. "I thought you were some mugger."

He pressed her shoulder and, with another sickening pop, put it back in place.

Diana’s nerves were on edge. The pain was so fierce she couldn’t even scream this time.

"I really am sorry," Aaron said, sounding sincere, stepping back to give her some space.

Diana looked at his innocent, ridiculously good-looking face, took a deep breath, and swallowed all the curses she wanted to throw at him.

This was not a man she could afford to yell at.

She forced a professional smile. "It’s fine, Mr. Morris. Honestly, it’s my fault… I should really work on my resilience."

Aaron paused.

He was pretty sure she was being sarcastic. And he had the receipts to prove it.
