Luna's Deadly Deception: How She Made Her Alpha Pay novel Chapter 13

Aurora grew increasingly desperate. Kieran's visits had dwindled to once a week, merely checking on the pup before leaving abruptly. He treated her purely as a vessel for his heir.

With only a month until Kieran's planned departure for Norvaria, Aurora contacted someone from her past.

At dusk, a black vehicle stopped outside her den. A young male wolf emerged, his aura radiating casual arrogance. Axel Vale wore designer clothes, his handsome features carrying a rebellious edge – every bit the entitled son of a wealthy pack.

"Are you insane?" Aurora hissed. "Arriving so openly?"

Axel blew smoke in her face, smirking. "Afraid? You think Kieran doesn't know about us?"

"The pup is yours," Aurora stated bluntly.

"What?" Axel's cigarette froze halfway to his lips.

The Vale Pack, ruling the neighboring Stone Valley territory, held more wealth than Kieran's pack. But Axel, born to a mistress, was barred from the pack's business dealings by ancient laws. He survived on allowance scraps.

"Go to Norvaria," Aurora's voice turned cold. "Deal with Thea."

Axel stared at her, shocked by her murderous intent. "That's extreme."

"He records the whole writing process. The packs are starting to sympathize. Word is, he's coming to Norvaria in a month."

Thea's hands stilled. "I won't see him."

"I know. But when that blood oath activates and he loses everything without winning you back... who knows what a desperate Alpha might do?"

Thea understood Sarah's warning about her safety. True friends remained vigilant.

"I'll be careful."
