Luna's Deadly Deception: How She Made Her Alpha Pay novel Chapter 15

"She escaped this time," Axel growled from his vehicle, eyes glowing with malice. "She'll be more cautious now."

"Wait for the right moment," Aurora counseled.

A week later, Thea began working at Norwegian Wolf Enterprises. Her parents carefully managed her workload, but the transition still proved challenging.

Magnus offered guidance: "Approach client meetings like a game. Celebrate successes, make allies from failures."

When work overwhelmed her, he suggested: "How's your tolerance for blood wine? Sometimes it helps ease the pressure."

"We may be pack workers, but we can still find joy in it."

His humor brightened Thea's days. Magnus was hardly a common wolf - he was elite-born.

Meanwhile, Axel grew impatient. Thea's predictable routine between den, office, and hunting grounds left no openings.

Sarah called with news. "I found him. Axel Vale, Aurora's former mate."

She explained: The Vale Pack outranked Kieran's, but Axel was born to a mistress. His mother's ambition had earned the Pack Elder's distrust, barring Axel from pack business.

Aurora had left him upon learning this, tried her luck back, then returned to pursue Kieran.

"Is the pup his?" Thea questioned.

Magnus studied her, noting the newfound fragility that awakened his protective instincts.

"A sea death would be easiest, but after your incident... A vehicle accident might work better. They'd likely tamper with your car since your routine is so set."

"How do we lead them to that?"

Magnus smiled. "Leave it to me."

The next day, Axel sat in a restaurant below his temporary den. Two muscular foreign wolves with runic tattoos took the next table, carelessly dropping a bag of tools.

"This job will feed us for months," one muttered in Norse.
