"Can you be serious for one minute?"

A smirk played on his lips. He was just about to speak when his phone suddenly buzzed on the table.

He glanced down at the caller ID, a slight frown creasing his brow.

It was the Executive Vice President.

He had explicitly ordered them not to bother him with anything trivial for the next few days.

For the Executive Vice President to call him directly, it was undoubtedly a crisis.

Hudson answered immediately. "Speak."

The voice on the other end was frantic and grave; the sheer anxiety radiated through the receiver.

"Mr. Lancaster, there's an emergency with the Southeast Asian Operations. The Vanguard Microchips facility has suffered a massive failure. The entire production line is down. Our clients are losing their minds—they're demanding you fly out personally, or they'll terminate the contract and sue for damages."

His frown deepened.
