Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 418

"Alright. Wait for me."

...

The call disconnected.

Nora let out a long breath.

She pulled the blanket up, tucking Sienna's exposed hand securely underneath so she was bundled up tight.

"Tell me, what do you even see in him? Just his handsome face? Can a handsome face put food on the table?"

Sienna remained unresponsive.

"If you like hot guys so much, I can ask Hudson to set you up. His friends are all gorgeous. There's Grant, he's famously good-looking. Then there's Sebastian, and if worst comes to worst, even Jude is..."

"Norie, you're so loud."

Nora froze. She looked down to see Sienna's eyes half-open, staring up at her weakly.

"Sienna! You're awake! Oh my god, I was worried sick about you..."

"Relax, I'm not dead yet..."

Nora let out an exasperated laugh at her stubborn attitude, lightly flicking her on the forehead. "Do you realize you almost died?"

Sienna didn't dodge, not that she had the strength to anyway.

She closed her eyes, her voice faint. "I'm fine, just a little dizzy."

"Severe anemia, hemoglobin at a third of what it should be. You call that fine?"

Sienna didn't reply. Her gaze drifted past Nora, staring blankly at the ceiling, lost in thought.

Watching her like this, Nora felt another surge of helpless anger. Just as she opened her mouth to lecture her again, the hospital room door slammed open.

It was Finnian.

He looked as if he had sprinted the entire way up. Sweat beaded his forehead, and his breathing was jagged. His suit jacket was unbuttoned, his tie hanging loosely around his neck—a stark contrast to the meticulously composed Fairchild Heir he usually was.

Nora immediately stood up and stepped back.
