Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 789

Vincent wanted nothing more than to curl up and die right then and there!

In his over twenty years of life, he had never experienced anything like this. He was being framed for absolute nonsense!

He had merely heard the doorbell ring and gone to open the door in his boxers. The next thing he knew, this old man had swung a cane at him!

And then dragged him into this private hall like he was some sort of homewrecker...

He kept insisting he and Hunter were just friends, but absolutely no one was listening!

Standing near the doorway, Hudson casually swept his gaze over Vincent's miserable expression, unable to stop the slight curve of his lips.

He couldn't blame Alistair; even Hudson had originally assumed Vincent and Hunter had something going on.

It wasn't until he had interrogated the guy the other day that he realized the two genuinely shared a purely platonic friendship!

This manipulative little fox was so used to playing the innocent victim that it was incredibly satisfying to see him finally get steamrolled by Alistair's explosive temper.

As much as Hudson enjoyed watching the little fox squirm, this involved Hunter...

So, he had to step in.

Pulling his thoughts together, Hudson shifted his gaze to Alistair. "Does Mr. Hamilton know who this foreigner is?"

Alistair was still entirely blinded by rage. He scoffed, "I don't care who he is! If he dares to drag my grandson into this filthy nonsense, I don't care if he's the King of England! I'll beat him all the same!"

Hudson chuckled lightly. "Well, have you prepared your diplomatic statement? When the Australian embassy shows up to demand an explanation, you'll need to give them one. You wouldn't want to spark an international incident."

"What international incident?" Alistair glared at him. "Stop trying to scare me. Do I look like a three-year-old?"

"His name is Vincent. He's the son of an Australian Duke. Even if he isn't the firstborn and won't inherit the title, he's still Lord Vincent. Beating him like this... and accusing him of being a homewrecker..."

Hudson let out a dramatic sigh. "The international optics on this are going to be terrible..."

Alistair's face paled slightly, his brow furrowing as he looked back at Vincent.
