"He's out of the woods. Spent two days under observation in the ICU and was moved to a regular room yesterday."
"That's good. That's good." Henry opened his eyes and sighed. "The Winslows haven't had it easy these past few years. He's too old to be dealing with all this stress. He's really suffered this time."
Finnian's grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly. He stared at the traffic light ahead and stayed silent.
Henry didn't seem to care about the lack of response and continued, "I heard the Ivory Pill was stolen. The Winslows' security has always been top-notch. How did they let someone walk away with something so important?"
"They're still investigating," Finnian replied flatly.
"What is there to investigate? It's obvious!" Henry scoffed. "The Winslows have made plenty of enemies over the years. Success breeds jealousy. It's only natural they were targeted. When you see Elias, tell him to rest easy. I'll keep an eye out. I'll find the ungrateful backstabber and give the Winslows the justice they deserve."
"...Right."
...
The car soon pulled up to the hospital entrance. Henry stepped out, adjusted the collar of his coat, and walked inside with unhurried steps.
On the seventh floor of the inpatient department, two bodyguards stood outside Elias Winslow's VIP room.
After being announced, Henry pushed the door open and strode in.
Elias was propped up in bed. His color was better than a few days ago, but he still looked pale and exhausted.
Holding a file in his hand, he glanced up as Henry entered.
