Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 829

Henry walked out of the hospital, pulled the car door open, and got in.

"To Skystone Manor."

Finnian nodded and started the engine.

"By the way, how is Hudson doing? I heard he relapsed. Didn't he already take half of the Ivory Pill?"

Finnian thought back to the pale, sickly look on Hudson's face the last time he saw him. He pursed his lips. "I'm not exactly sure."

Seeing his son's obvious lack of enthusiasm, Henry frowned. "You look terrible today. What's wrong?"

"I've been busy with work the past few days. I haven't slept much."

Henry chuckled and patted his shoulder. "Don't ruin your health just because you're young. Take a break when you need to. By the time you reach my age, you'll understand what regret feels like."

"I know, Dad."

Pleased by his obedience, Henry nodded approvingly. Then, as if suddenly recalling something, he added, "By the way, Liana mentioned you've been giving her the cold shoulder lately."

He paused. "Liana and Evangeline are both your sisters. As their brother, you can't play favorites. You need to treat them equally."

Finnian's grip on the steering wheel tightened.

He didn't think Liana had any right to stand on the same level as Evangeline.

Evangeline was his real sister.

Liana was just an adopted ward—a tool used to keep the Dowager from spiraling into depression over her lost granddaughter.

What right did she have to be compared to Evangeline?

Not to mention, Liana had lived a life of absolute luxury all these years, and her standard of living hadn't dropped an inch since the truth came out.

And his father expected him to treat them equally?
