Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 264

**Chapter 264 Just Help Me One More Time**

**Zelena’s POV:**

After Deanna stormed out of my life, it didn’t take long for her to yank her financial support from Bluewave Studio. The moment she left, I felt the ground beneath me crumble.

My studio had been precariously balancing on the edge of collapse for what felt like an eternity, but now, with her withdrawal, it was as if someone had snapped the final thread that held everything together. We were staring down the barrel of permanent closure, and the weight of impending failure pressed heavily on my chest.

In a desperate attempt to salvage what was left, I grasped Deanna’s hands, my voice trembling with urgency. “Deanna, you’ve invested so much of yourself into Bluewave Studio. I know you don’t want to see it fail. Please, just one more time, can you help me? I’m begging you!”

But all she did was wrench her hands away, her voice dripping with frost as she replied, “That’s your problem.”

Her words cut through me like a knife, dousing any flicker of hope I had left.

No matter how many heartfelt messages I sent to Deanna or Violet, my apologies seemed to dissolve into the void. It was as if I had vanished from their lives entirely.

As I sat there, the anger bubbled up within me, roaring like a wild beast.

I snapped, my voice rising in frustration, “Deanna, have you completely forgotten how I helped you back in college? You’re really going to shut me out just because I had a brief conversation with Luis? How can you be so ungrateful?!”

“You call yourself my friend? Just one misstep and you toss me aside like yesterday’s trash. You’re nothing but a fake friend!”

Deanna merely smiled faintly, but it was devoid of warmth. “Ungrateful? Fake? I knew Bluewave Studio was struggling, and yet I chose to invest in it without hesitation. Every project that came through those doors? That was me. When Felix threatened you with those photos, who do you think retrieved them? You’re just like the snake in that old fable—the one that bites the hand that feeds it.”

Her words struck a nerve, but I refused to acknowledge their truth. All I could think about was the dire need for funds.

“Let me ask you again: Are you going to continue investing in Bluewave Studio or not?”

Deanna’s response was swift and cutting. “What, do I look like an idiot to you? Of course not.”

With that, she turned on her heel and walked away, leaving me trembling with rage, my teeth grinding together as frustration coursed through me.

Just as she retreated, a stack of papers tumbled from her bag, fluttering to the ground like discarded leaves.

Curiosity piqued, I bent down to retrieve them, my heart racing as I flipped through the pages. They were ultrasound scans. A spark of realization ignited within me.

“People like her are experts at masking their true selves. She looks down on us, plain and simple. Now that we’re stuck in this miserable rental, with Dad’s hospital bills piling up and debts suffocating us, she knows how desperate I am, and still, she refuses to help.”

I bit my lip, a surge of determination rising within me. “Dad, we can’t just sit around and do nothing. You know the Alpha of the Regalia Pack, right? I’ve heard his pack runs an investment firm. Can you reach out to him?”

Dad hesitated, his brow furrowing with concern. “I do know their Alpha. But he has a reputation for being a womanizer. I don’t want you getting involved with him.”

“Dad, if we can’t pay our bills, the three of us will end up living under a bridge. I’m just going to ask for help, that’s all. Don’t worry about me.”

In the past, I would never have considered taking such a drastic step.

But now, the resentment, jealousy, and anger that had been bubbling inside me had taken control.

I wanted my life back.

I was determined to get back at Deanna, no matter what it took.
