Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 317

**Chapter 317: Move Into the Mooncrown Pack Estate**

In a tense moment, Luis felt the color drain from his face, yet he made no move to stop Deanna. He remained rooted to the spot, a silent sentinel as she unleashed her frustration upon him.

“If hitting me helps you breathe, then go ahead,” he said, his voice steady but laced with an undercurrent of pain. “You can strike me however you wish.”

With those words, Luis took Deanna’s hand in his own, guiding her fist back to his chest, encouraging her to let her anger out. Her punches fell against him in a relentless rhythm, each one a release of the pent-up emotions that had been festering inside her.

Luis frowned deeply, but his expression remained stoic, a mask hiding the turmoil within. Deanna’s eyes blazed with an intensity that mirrored her inner turmoil, her voice quivering as she spoke, “I had every intention of telling the world that the father of my child is you—Mr. Eaton of the Mooncrown Pack, the one and only.”

Her words poured out like a torrent, fueled by hurt and betrayal. “I wanted to declare our bond, to show everyone that we were meant to be mates. I wanted to watch those who laughed at me turn green with envy. But where were you when I needed you the most?”

Luis felt a sharp, piercing pain behind his eyes as her words struck him like arrows. His voice came out rough and bitter, laden with regret. “Deanna, this is all my fault. I wasn’t there when you needed me. I left you to face everything alone. I messed up. I promised to protect you, and I failed.”

Her deliberate words cut deeper than he could have imagined. The tremor in his voice only served to hasten the flow of her tears, each drop a testament to her anguish.

Seeing her tears, Luis instinctively reached out, his thumb brushing against the wetness at the corner of her eye. His hand shook, and the warmth of her tears felt like fire against his chest, igniting a deep sorrow within him. In that moment, he pulled Deanna tightly into his embrace, wrapping her in his arms as if he could shield her from the pain.

“Please, don’t cry. If it helps to hit me, then do it. If there’s anything I can do to ease your hurt, just tell me. I’ll do whatever you need, I swear,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.

After a moment of silence, Deanna lifted her head from his chest, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. She looked up at him, her voice steady but quiet, “I received a video from your grandmother during the press conference. She threatened me, using my mother and Violet against me. She insisted I couldn’t say a word about you. That hurt me more than anything.”

Luis’s heart sank at her revelation. He had never anticipated that Ruth would stoop so low with someone he cherished. How could she treat Deanna this way?

His brow furrowed in anger, but a weight settled heavily on his chest, rendering him momentarily speechless. “I’m so sorry, Deanna. I had no idea…”

Stepping back, Deanna wiped her tears with the back of her hand, her expression a mix of hurt and resolve. “So Ruth never wanted me near you in the first place. She believes I’m not worthy of you.”

Deanna turned her face away, unable to withstand the heat of his gaze, but after a moment, she turned back to him, her voice steady. “I want to move into the Mooncrown Pack estate.”

Luis’s handsome features betrayed no emotion as he lowered his gaze to her, his voice barely above a whisper. “Okay.”

Inside the Mooncrown Pack estate, Ruth sat in the main living room, savoring a cup of tea, completely unaware of the storm brewing outside. Suddenly, the tranquility was shattered by the sound of carts being wheeled across the hall, the staff bustling with purpose.

Each cart was laden with racks of exquisite women’s clothing, the latest luxury designs that sparkled with allure. Alongside them were dazzling pieces of jewelry, each one a testament to wealth, and an array of refined personal items that whispered of elegance.

Alina rushed forward, her expression fierce as she confronted the workers. “What do you think you’re doing?” she demanded, her voice sharp with authority.

The workers lowered their heads, their voices soft as they replied, “Mr. Eaton instructed us to place these items in his dressing room.”
