Chapter 366 A Proper Apology
Third–person POV:
Luis wrapped an arm around Deanna’s waist and let out a cold laugh. “What, does Bluestone Pack not even know how to give a proper apology?”
Victoria took a deep breath. “Mr. Eaton, Jennifer is still young. This is her first time apologizing to anyone. She did the best she could. I promise she’ll watch her words from now on and won’t offend your fiancée again.”
Luis’s lips curled into a cold, dismissive smirk.
Sympathy didn’t exist in his vocabulary.
Anyone who messed with his woman got no mercy.
“If she’s still young, then you should teach her what a proper apology looks like.”
Victoria froze for a moment, a chill shooting down her spine.
Was he telling her to apologize alongside her daughter in front of everyone at this party?
The realization hit her, and her face flushed a deep, mottled red.
Victoria’s eyes went wide as she looked desperately toward Carey, pleading with him for help.
Carey frowned. This was indeed going too far. After all, this was Bluestone Pack’s territory.
He looked at Luis, hoping to use his standing to plead on his daughter–in–law’s behalf.
But the moment his eyes met Luis’s, the words died in his throat.
Luis stood there with an icy expression, his entire being radiating the terrifying pressure of a pure–blooded Alpha in his prime, standing firm and imposing.
In that moment, Carey realized with stark clarity that the Luis before him was no longer the young pup who once called him “Grandpa Carey” He was a true Alpha King, powerful enough to stand against Bluestone Bank itself.
For the first time, Carey felt his age. The new generation always surpassed the old.
In werewolf society, whoever held power and resources held dominion.
And today, the one who held dominion was clearly Luis.

Carey pressed his lips together. For the sake of the pack, he would have to sacrifice his pride. His voice came out low and heavy. “Victoria. Go teach your daughter some manners.”
Victoria couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She stumbled backward, the blood draining from her face.
Her husband had died young, but Carey had granted her authority to remain the respected senior daughter–in–law of Bluestone Pack, managing all internal pack affairs.
Never had she imagined that today, she would be forced to bow her head and apologize to an Omega.
The respectable image she had carefully cultivated over 40 years was crumbling before her
very eyes.
Victoria’s breathing grew ragged, her chest heaving with barely contained fury, her pheromones becoming wildly unstable.
But Victoria could endure.
She drew in a long, deep breath, walked over, and grabbed Jennifer’s hand.
Jennifer struggled, but Victoria gripped her tightly.
The two of them stepped toward Deanna. Victoria bent into a deep bow, then forced Jennifer’s head down to match. Through gritted teeth and brimming tears, she spoke each word deliberately. “I’m sorry, Ms. Wiley. Jennifer was out of line. I hope you can be generous and forgive her.”
When she finished, she gave Jennifer a hard pinch. “Say it!”
Jennifer clenched her jaw, tears swimming in her eyes, refusing to speak.
Victoria hissed furiously. “Do you want me to stand here and be humiliated alongside you?”
Jennifer’s eyes burned red with rage, but finally, she forced the words through her teeth. “I’m sorry!”
Deanna looked at the mother and daughter bowing before her and spoke calmly. “I hope you’ll watch what you say from now on. Next time, it won’t end with just an apology.”
Jennifer lifted her head, her face twisted with hatred, and started to speak. “You-”
“Enough! Get out of here, now!” Carey cut her off sharply, terrified she would cause more trouble.

If Jennifer kept running her mouth and provoked Luis further, even he wouldn’t be able to protect her.
