Chapter 365 Did Your Hand Hurt?
Third–person POV:
Everyone turned toward the voice and saw Luis walking over, one hand tucked in his pocket, his tall frame radiating the suffocating, ice–cold pressure unique to a pure–blooded Alpha.
The crowd instinctively parted to make way, heals bowed in submission.
Luis frowned as he approached Deanna, his eyes scanning her up and down to make sure she wasn’t hurt.
“Are you okay?”
Deanna shook her head.
Victoria’s expression soured. “The one who’s hurt is Jenni. Ms. Wiley slapped her across the face.”
Hearing this, Luis raised an eyebrow and looked at Deanna with a hint of surprise. “Is that so?
“How many times did you slap her?”
Deanna didn’t understand why he was asking, but she answered honestly. “Twice.”
Luis reached out and ruffled the top of her head, his dark eyes deepening and his voice magnetic yet gentle. “Look at you–finally to fight back. Two slaps, huh? Did your hand hurt?”
The crowd fell silent.
Jennifer bit down so hard on her lower lip that it bled, her face stinging even more than before.
Victoria felt her rage boiling in her chest.
“Mr. Eaton, that’s not a very nice thing to say. The one who got hurt here is Jenni!”
Luis turned, his sharp gaze sweeping coldly across the room.
“Deanna doesn’t hit people without reason. The fact that she raised her hand means only one thing–your daughter said something she shouldn’t have.”
Everyone exchanged uneasy glances, and no one dared to speak up.
Carey saw that Luis had stepped in and didn’t want this to spiral further out of control.

“Kids always say silly things. It was just a careless little joke. Victoria is just being protective as a mother. Please don’t take it to heart, Mr. Eaton
Luis’s eyes turned colder, his lips curling into an icy, mocking smile. “I’d love to hear just how little this joke was.”
Nathan’s date stepped forward at that moment.
“Earlier, Ms. Barkley called Ms. Wiley a… homewrecker. She also cursed your unborn pup…”
As she spoke, Luis’s expression darkened completely, and he shot Jennifer a vicious glare before letting out a cold scoff. “Two slaps were letting her off easy. By Mooncrown Pack rules, we’d cut out her tongue.”
The icy look in Luis’s eyes sent a chill crawling up Jennifer’s spine, and she instinctively shrank behind Carey. “Grandpa!”
Carey’s face went dark.
“This is all your fault! You and your mother, shut your mouths!
“Mr. Eaton, I failed to discipline her properly. I’ll make sure to teach her a lesson after this. Today is my birthday celebration. Let’s not ruin the mood for everyone.”
Luis raised his gaze with cold indifference. “Fine. Out of respect for your birthday, I’ll let her off with a light punishment.”
Luis raised his chin toward Jennifer, his tone frigid. “You. Get over here and apologize to my fiancée.”
Jennifer clenched her fists so tightly her nails dug into her palms, but she couldn’t even feel the pain.
There was no way in hell she was apologizing to that lowborn Omega!
She’d been slapped twice and now she had to apologize? Where was the justice in that?
Besides, half the guests at this party were her socialite friends.
If she apologized, her reputation as Bluestone Pack’s heiress would be ruined.
Carey saw Luis’s expression‘ grow colder and tapped his cane against the floor. “Jenni, apologize! Now!”
Jennifer set her jaw stubbornly. “No!”
She turned pleading eyes to Victoria. “Mom, I don’t want to!”
