Alice and her husband furrowed their brows at these words.

As parents, they had of course noticed the changes in Zelena lately.

A sudden windfall of money appearing out of nowhere.

A sudden plan to take them abroad and never come back.

But every time they asked her what was going on, Zelena either gave vague answers or brushed them off entirely.

Alice looked at Zelena, her voice tight with anxiety. "Zelena, what exactly did you do? You're scaring me."

Zelena's face shifted between pale and flushed as a vein throbbed at her temple.

She turned away coldly. "Mom, Dad, this woman is spouting nonsense. Don't listen to her."

Alice looked at the group of people before her, every one of them fierce and menacing, and her whole body began to tremble.

"Wasn't she your friend? Why did she bring all these people to our home like she's here to raid the place?"

Violet's voice turned dark. "Stop right there. The word 'friend' makes me sick to my stomach!"

With that, Violet lunged forward, grabbed Zelena by the throat with both hands, and shoved her down hard.

She slammed Zelena's entire body to the floor, then immediately straddled her—the whole sequence fluid, swift, and brutal.

"Ahh!"

Zelena let out a pained scream.

Erik and Aaron watched the scene unfold and couldn't help but marvel silently. This woman really knew how to throw down.

Alice and Jerry saw their daughter got pinned to the ground and rushed forward to help, but the wolf guards beside Aaron stretched out their arms and blocked them.

Zelena was pinned down and couldn't move, her chest heaving as she struggled to breathe.

She gritted her teeth and snarled. "Violet, what did I even do wrong? What gives you the right to treat me like this?"

"What did you do wrong?" Violet let out a cold laugh. "You're despicable, pathetic, jealous, ruthless, and you bite the hand that feeds you. You used Deanna's pregnancy to leak stories to reporters and smear her name. Then at her proposal, you poisoned Puddy. A woman like you could die a hundred times and it still wouldn't be enough."

With that, Violet raised her hand and delivered a vicious slap across Zelena's face.

Smack! The sound was loud and clear.
