Mated To The Alpha King (Raven and Ethan) novel Chapter 352

Chapter 352

Reven’s POV

They didn’t take me to the dungeon.

That alone should have terrified me more than iron bars and stone walls ever could.

The guards dragged me through a different passage, narrower, quieter, lined with torches that burned low and smoked like they were choking.

The air here was colder, heavier, pressing against my chest with every breath.

My bare feet scraped against the stone floor as my body protested, pain flaring with each step. My shoulder throbbed. My cheek burned where Sabrina had struck me. But none of it compared to the fear crawling under my

skin.

I twisted my head, trying to look back, trying to find some sign anything that this was temporary.

Where are you taking me?I asked, my voice hoarse.

Neither guard answered.

Their grips tightened instead.

We descended a flight of stairs I hadn’t seen before, spiraling downward like the throat of a beast. With every step, the light dimmed until shadows swallowed most of the corridor behind us.

My heartbeat roared in my ears, loud enough to drown out the sound of my own footsteps.

Until dawn, the Rough King had said.

As though my suffering could be measured by the hours of the night.

As though I were an object on loan.

Finally, we stopped before a door unlike the others tall, carved with intricate patterns of wolves and crescent moons, its dark wood polished to a gleam.

Two guards stood stationed outside it already, their faces blank, eyes forward.

One of the men holding me knocked once.

The door opened immediately.

Warm light spilled out, blinding me for a moment after the darkness of the corridor. The scent that drifted out made my stomach churn sweet incense, wine, and something floral and sharp beneath it.

Sabrina stood just inside, dressed not like a noblewoman ready for rest, but like a queen prepared for conquest.

Her gown was deep crimson, clinging to her body like a second skin, the fabric slit high along her thigh. Her dark hair cascaded over her shoulders, glossy and perfect, framing a face that could have belonged to a goddess if not for the cruelty

in her eyes.

She smiled when she saw me.

Leave us,she said lazily.

The guards hesitated just for a second.

I said leave, she repeated, her voice sharper now.

They released me and stepped back, closing the door behind them with a heavy thud that echoed like a verdict.

The lock slid into place.

I stood frozen, my back pressed instinctively against the door, my breath shallow. The room was largetoo large. Luxurious. A massive bed dominated the center, draped in dark silks. Candles burned everywhere, their flames flickering like watching eyes. A table to the side held a bottle of wine and two goblets.

Only two.

Sabrina took her time approaching me, her heels clicking softly against the floor. Each step felt deliberate, measured, like she wanted me to feel the seconds stretch.

You look afraid,” she said, stopping just a few feet away. Good.”

I straightened despite the tremor in my legs. You got what you wanted. I’m here. What more do you want?

She laughed, a low, melodic sound that sent a chill through me.

What do I want?she echoed. Oh, little girl, you have no idea.”

She circled me slowly, her gaze dragging over my injuries, my torn dress, and my disheveled hair. I felt stripped bare beneath her scrutiny.

You don’t look like much, she continued. And yet, here you are. Breathing. Standing. Causing chaos.”

I clenched my fists. I didn’t try to kill him.”

She stopped in front of me so suddenly I nearly collided with her.

Do you think that matters?she asked softly.

Before I could answer, her hand shot out, gripping my chin painfully, forcing my face up to hers. Her nails dug into my skin.

You spilled my Alpha’s blood,” she whispered. You took his attention. You made him weak.”

Her grip tightened.

For that alone, you deserve to suffer.”

I swallowed, fighting the urge to cry out. If you want to punish someone, punish me,I said. But don’t pretend this is about him. You hate me because you’re afraid.”

Her eyes flashed.

Afraid?she repeated, incredulous.

Yes,I said, my voice shaking but steady. Because no woman sequre in her place would see me as a threat.

The slap came without warning.

I hit the floor hard, pain exploding through my ribs as the air was knocked from my lungs. I gasped, curling instinctively, my wounds screaming in protest.

Sabrina loomed over me, her chest rising and falling.

You forget your place, she said coldly. You don’t get to speak to me like that.”

She crouched down, her face level with mine, her smile returningslow and cruel.

But I admire your courage,” she continued. It makes breaking you so much more satisfying.”

She stood and snapped her fingers.

From behind a curtain at the far end of the room, two women emerged. I hadn’t even known they were there.

They were dressed in plain servant gowns, their heads bowed, eyes downcast. Wolvesno, servants. Tools.

Help her up,Sabrina ordered.

I tried to resist, but my body betrayed me. My legs were weak, trembling as they hauled me to my feet and forced me to stand in the center of the room.

Sabrina walked to the table and poured herself wine, unhurried.

You know, she said conversationally, lifting the goblet, I was going to kill you.

My heart lurched.

But then I thoughtShe turned, her gaze sharp. Death is too kind.

She took a slow sip.

Pain teaches better lessons.

She set the goblet down and approached me again, stopping just close enough that I could smell her perfume.

You will kneel,she said.

I stared at her.

No,I whispered.

Her eyes hardened.

One of the servants shoved me from behind, forcing my injured knees to hit the floor. Agony ripped through me, a cry tearing from my throat before I could stop it.

Sabrina smiled.

There,she said. Much better.

She circled me again as I knelt, my head spinning, my vision blurring with tears I refused to let fall.

You will stay here tonight,” she continued. You will listen. You will remember.

She stopped behind me.

And when dawn comes,” she leaned down, her lips brushing my car, you will crawl out of this room a different creature.

Her hand slid into my hair, yanking my head back.

A creature that knows who owns her suffering.”

I squeezed my eyes shut, my chest heaving.

I will not break, I told myself desperately. I will not give her that.

But even as I clung to that thought, fear whispered its own truths.

She had power.

She had time.

And the Rough King had given me to her without hesitation.

Sabrina released me abruptly and turned away.

Undress her,she said lightly.

The servants hesitated.

I looked up, panic flooding me. Noplease-

Now,Sabrina snapped.

Hands grabbed at my clothes. I fought weakly, but my strength was gone, drained by pain and exhaustion. Fabric tore. Cold air kissed my skin. Humiliation burned hotter than any wound.

I stared at the floor, my face burning, my body shaking.

Enough,Sabrina said suddenly.

The hands withdrew.

She studied me for a long moment, her expression unreadable.

Not yet,” she murmured, almost to herself. Later.

She gestured to the servants again.

Chain her to the bedpost.”

My head snapped up. What?

They moved quickly, metal clinking as shackles were fastened around my wrists, the cold iron biting into my skin. They pulled my arms upward, forcing me to stand on trembling legs, bound and exposed, my injuries screaming.

When they stepped away, Sabrina approached me one final time.

She called one of the guards as she asked him to stay with me throughout the night, and he could fuck me anyhow he liked.

This is just the beginning, she said softly. Enjoy the night.

She turned and walked toward the door.

Panic surged.

Wait!I cried. You can’t just-

She paused, glancing over her shoulder.

Oh, I can,she replied. And I will.

The door opened.

But before she could leave, a deep voice echoed through the room

That’s enough.”

Sabrina froze.

My heart stopped.

The Rough King stood in the doorway, his presence filling the room like a storm. His gaze swept over the scenethe chains, my trembling form, the servants shrinking back.

For a moment, something unreadable flickered across his face.

Relief? Anger? Regret?

Sabrina turned slowly, her expression smoothing into a smile.

You said until dawn, she reminded him sweetly.

He stepped inside, the door closing behind him.

And dawn hasn’t come yet,she said.

He didn’t answer her.

His eyes locked onto mine. I want her to be released,he said, his expression cold.

Sabrina told him that I hadn’t started serving my punishment, and he said he didn’t care, that I should be released.

Sabrina said he was the one who handed me over to her, and now he came to save me. This was the second time today that he was saving me. She asked if there was something he wasn’t telling her.

He said there was nothing, that I was his personal maid and I would have to cook him breakfast tomorrow, that he didn’t want me to be weak.

She said it was a lie, asked if he was fucking me, said he was always defending me.

He slapped her hard and told her never to accuse him of such, then he walked out of the room.

Sabrina looked at me as she slapped me and said I was the reason he was behaving like this, and that she was going to make my days in this pack house hell.
