Chapter 134 Hidden Secret
Chapter 134 Hidden Secret
“That cannot be true. I have no elder sister.”
Gillian denied it instinctively. She could never believe such a thing.
“We share the same birth parents.”
After revealing this secret, Elara felt a great weight lift off her chest.
She walked over to the bedside and bent down to rummage inside a metal storage box.
She knew Gillian would not leave in a hurry. She would definitely demand a full explanation.

Elara had watched over Gillian and their grandmother in silence ever since finding her. She had only been away for three months, yet someone had taken her sister away without her notice.
“Are you absolutely certain about this?”
Gillian indeed had no intention of leaving. To think her admired idol was actually her own elder sister by blood felt far too unbelievable.
Such sudden good fortune seemed utterly suspicious. She could not bring herself to believe it.
“You still doubt me?” Elara held the initiative now and saw straight through Gillian’s thoughts.
She tapped her wrist terminal with a cold smile. “Check your own device.”
Gillian’s wrist vibrated. She quickly opened the files sent over.
Two paternity test reports appeared right in front of her eyes.
“It confirmed the two are full siblings sharing the same father and mother. After analyzing numerous STR gene loci, the kinship probability between Gillian Sterling and Elara Sterling exceeded ninety-nine point nine nine percent.”
The other report proved Gillian’s blood relation to their grandmother.
All the proof was complete and solid.
Gillian stared blankly at the documents, lost in shock. “You have the same family name as me? That is not the main point. When did you get these tests done?”
“I had them arranged when you turned nine. We can take another test if you still refuse to trust me. Besides, you are born with healing and purification abilities. No other female across the entire Outer Planet possesses such rare dual talents.”
Gillian slowly took in every word Elara said.
“Why has Grandma never mentioned that I have an elder sister?”

“Because she has no idea I exist.”

A hint of sorrow showed on Elara’s face. “Our parents passed away years ago. Wasteland City fell into massive unrest back then. I was taken away to Capital Planet by outsiders by pure chance. All records of my existence were erased completely, leaving no one aware I was still alive.”
Now that the truth was out, Elara decided to lay everything plain before Gillian.
She had been separated from her younger sister and grandmother for far too long. Even if they could not grow as close as ordinary siblings, she never wished for estrangement between them.
“You were sent to Capital Planet at the age of six. Who was the one who took you away?”
Gillian studied Elara’s facial expressions closely, trying to spot any sign of lies. Yet Elara had regained her usual calm demeanor, her face unreadable, hiding all inner emotions perfectly.
“That matter is not important anymore.”
Elara opened the metal box and took out an old photograph.
In the picture, a male and a female embraced each other warmly. Young Elara sat quietly behind them. focusing on drawing at a table with a stern look on her face.
The female was heavily pregnant, around seven or eight months along, held gently in the male’s arms.
The couple smiled sweetly. Taken from a selfie angle of the male and female, the photo accidentally included Elara, forming a warm composition.
Gillian clenched her hands tightly. She recognized the pair at once; they were her parents.
The only electronic photo she had of them came from their military marriage certificate.
Mabel never spoke in detail about how they died, only saying they sacrificed themselves honorably to defend Wasteland City.
“Why did you never reach out to me all these years? You found me when I turned fifteen, so why never come to find grandmother or me?”
Gillian saved the photo to her wrist terminal and held back her surging emotions. This truth struck her extremely hard.
Elara let out a chuckle, already knowing Gillian would keep this precious picture.
“Sorry. I kept my distance for your safety. We have countless powerful enemies. They would pose deadly threats to you and Grandma once they learned of your whereabouts.
“I originally planned to bring you both to settle in Capital Planet after you finished your studies. I never expected you would choose to stay in the Wasteland City instead.”
Silence filled the room, weighing heavily on Gillian’s heart. She hung her head low. “I will take another paternity test to confirm everything. Sorry. I hope you understand my caution.”
