Tristan lay stiff on the bed. The female tore his clothes apart. Every touch from her filled him with disgust.
“Who told you I liked you?”
With Glamour Fox’s power, he could easily end any foe. That was his first time striking at a female. Hi glamour craft broke her completely.
Fine looks and vast wealth stirred greedy desires in others. This experience made Tristan grow tired of all females who drew close to him later.
He rejected all arranged marriages by his family. He held a dislike toward females.
Elara was totally different. She treated him like any ordinary patient, even after learning his identity.
He felt free from schemes around her.
“What are you thinking about?”
Elara saw the little fox staring blankly at Gillian. She thought Gillian still wanted to get back at him.
She tapped his head hard. Foxes bore grudges easily. Yet they would fight fiercely to protect those they acknowledged.
“Elara, it hurts so much.”
Tristan covered his head with pink paws. He refused to leave her warm embrace.
“I forgive her. I will never cause her trouble again. Spare my dignity, Elara.”
“Gillian is one year older than you.”
Elara pulled her hand away when she saw him truly beg for mercy.
Tristan noticed the soft smile Gillian gave Merrick. He realized he had been in the wrong all along.
“Tristan?”
“I let it go. I will not care about it anymore, Elara.”
He lay peacefully in her arms and felt quite relaxed.
He suddenly wondered why he kept staring at Gillian and felt flustered.
He recalled her hands putting healing metal rings on him. It was never flattery or fondness. She had held killing intent back then.
She was as special a female as Elara.
A strange feeling rose in his heart. He began to regard her as a worthy rival.

He never gained the upper hand since they met on the warship. Bad luck always came to him near Gillian
She looked weak, yet she bore sharp thorns. She would strike fiercely until she defeated her enemy
He had nearly lost his life against her.
Elara always looked cold and stern in silence. Holding the pink fox made her seem more approachabl
The fox parted its lips and looked dull. Yet it acted quite skillfully in clinging closely to her sister.
Did he have no elder sister of his own?
Gillian smiled at Elara.
“Oh, right, Elara, I charged Tristan medical fees for the treatment. I do not need to return them, right? I tried my utmost back then.”
Sylas nearly laughed at her words.
He still remembered her cold look beside the operating table. She had held herself back from hurting Tristan severely.
“Keep all the coins you got. What do you think, Tristan?”
Elara twisted her fingers lightly against his head to pull him back from distraction.
Tristan let out a soft reply. He knew he could never get the money back.
He acted docile in Elara’s arms like a small pet.
Gillian finally understood why Tristan had disliked her so much.
He thought she took Elara’s place by staying with Merrick. He had spoken up for Elara sincerely.
She changed her view of him after seeing his care for Elara.
“Elara, you two get along really well. For your sake, I will never pluck his fur again.”
“No wonder his fur feels odd. You have plucked it before.”
