Chapter 75 First Cure
Chapter 75 First Cure
Aiden dropped unconscious in an instant, slumping back into the medical chair behind him.
With two babies still in her belly, she couldn’t afford a thrashing patient.

The blackstone in her left hand crumbled to white powder in an instant, sending a surge of raw power flowing into Gillian.
The golden power in her right hand thickened in a heartbeat and plunged deep into the parasite’s mouth, straight to the bottom.
Threads of gold riddled the parasite from every angle.
As it had been actively feeding on Aiden’s flesh, it had already completed its closed loop on the host. Thi was a fully mature parasite, primed to break free.
“Break!”
⚫A bestial roar tore through the air.
The parasite sensed the danger. The second the golden light peeled it off Aiden’s arm, it tried to bolt.
Its best chance was already gone. From the moment it had swallowed Gillian’s psionic power, its fate had been sealed.
“What the hell is that thing?!”
Tristan’s brow pinched together, and his fox head lifted on its own, eyes locked tight on Gillian’s hands.
A closer look revealed the parasite for what it was, a strip of thin skin covered in tight, fine scales, with blue veins running across its underside.
It was a hideous-looking thing.
Right then, Gillian’s eyes lit up, and she released her grip on the creature.
As her hand lifted, a single golden thread slipped smoothly out of the parasite’s mouth, drawing out a beast crystal no bigger than a marble.
The black scale parasite hit the floor and went still.
Gillian slid the beast crystal right in front of Tristan.
“Here. The crystal I promised you. It’s a little small, but the energy is pure.”
Deep in her eyes, there was a pure hatred reserved only for the black scale.
Gillian hated the parasite that much? The thought flashed across Tristan’s mind and was gone.
But the smile on her face was the kind that pulled you into her good mood whether you liked it or not.

“Thanks.”
In all his life, Tristan had never eaten a beast crystal this puny. His eye twitched in disgust.
“Just eat it. Get your fur back.”
The flicker of gratitude Tristan had just felt died on the spot. His fur had been her doing in the first place. and now she was playing the kind-hearted angel.
He pressed a paw down on the tiny crystal. “I’ll eat it later.”
Aiden surfaced from unconsciousness not long after. His arm was a mess of fresh red flesh now, all the black infection wiped clean.
The scanner was already pulling up the results.
“Captain Sterling, is it over? Am I cured?”
His new vitals popped up on her wrist terminal right at that moment, and Gillian sent the data over to Aiden with her congratulations.
“The scan shows no taint infection in your arm anymore. You’re clean.”
Gillian had pulled it off. She had actually cured the black scaling.
Tristan froze in place. His expression turned complicated, with a trace of admiration he didn’t even register. He kept trying to bury it, refusing to admit Gillian was actually that good.
After a moment, Tristan picked the tiny beast crystal up and held it under the medical scanner.
“Ping. Level 2 unknown beast type crystal. Refinable.”
A beast crystal this small, and it actually ranked level 2?
Gillian hadn’t expected the tiny crystal to come up as level 2. “Not eating it? Mind if I keep it here to study for a bit?”
Would he ever get it back if he handed it over?
Tristan swallowed the crystal whole. It burst on his tongue with a juicy pop, and the rush hit him hard.
The “you can’t dig it back out now” smugness on Tristan’s face pulled a laugh out of Gillian.
A single tiny crystal. She wasn’t actually that petty. She really had just wanted a look.
“Lieutenant Pierce, head out and grab a medic to wrap that up. Send the next patient in while you’re at it.”
“Ms. Sterling, you’re a miracle worker!”
“This stuff’s easy enough to handle. You just need a steady pair of hands.”
