Chapter 87 Gillian’s Protection
Chapter 87 Gillian’s Protection
“Elias, take Asher and leave right now!”
Gillian formed two golden blades in her hands. A faint layer of white psionic power lingered on the edges. light and gentle like flickering flames.
Her mind went blank, leaving only one firm thought. This foe had to die.
Anyone who hurt Elias and Asher deserved nothing less than death.
Her moves blurred at extreme speed, slashing relentlessly and leaving the golden griffin covered in fresh wounds.
The beast cried out in pain and sent a fierce shockwave to hurl Gillian away.
She felt no pain at all and charged forward once more. She cared nothing for her own life, determined to end this golden griffin here today.
⚫ The golden griffin roared furiously, eager to kill this fierce female. Yet it stumbled a few steps and
collapsed heavily to the ground.
Gillian paid no heed to her own injuries and pounced over to land repeated strikes.
Strands of pale white flame seeped into the beast’s body.
This white psionic power that could usually heal all wounds now burned away its life force rapidly.
In its final moments, its eyes widened wide in sheer terror, staring fixedly at Gillian with unclosed lids.
“Mom, it’s dead now.”
Elias flew over and laid his wings gently over Gillian’s hands to calm her down.
Gillian’s face had turned pale, twisted, and frantic from overwhelming rage and exhaustion.
“Mom, don’t be scared. I’m fine.”
His soft white wings patted lightly against her head.
“Elias.”
Gillian lifted her gaze and looked at him, wearing a heartbroken smile.
The golden griffin faded away completely and turned into spirit stones.
Elias called out softly, knowing his mother had been driven to the edge earlier. Gillian snapped back to her senses and pulled him tight into her arms.
I’m sorry, Elias. I failed to keep you safe before, and I let you get hurt again today.”

She took out a cyan spirit stone at once and fed it into Elias’s mouth.
Meanwhile, another dark figure dragged itself slowly toward her.
“Asher, your legs…”
Seeing the missing limbs of the two cubs, Gillian could no longer hold back her tears.

Inside this Trial Forest, her tears did not fall as ordinary liquid. They turned into wisps of white psionic power, dropping like fine pearls onto Asher’s broken limbs and soothing his wounds gently.
Without hesitation, she gave the level 2 golden spirit stone gained from slaying the golden griffin to Asher,
Just then, she heard Freya’s angry shouts. She turned to see Freya cornered by the two remaining cyan griffins.
Gillian wove golden silk threads instantly and bound the two beasts tightly.
Freya seized the perfect chance, swapped her heavy cannon for sharp golden blades, and swiftly beheaded both foes.
The two cyan griffins dissolved into white light and vanished. Gillian finally relaxed fully. Her arms went limp, her inner power drained dry, and all golden silk faded away like fragile bubbles.
She slumped onto the ground, her hands trembling nonstop.
Freya rushed over in a hurry. “Gillian, how are you feeling? Are the kids alright?”
“Freya, I fed them cyan spirit stones now. But their bodies have shrunk even smaller than when they first appeared in my arms.”
Gillian’s voice shook with deep sorrow.
Asher’s hind legs recovered little by little, yet Elias’s wounds healed at an extremely slow pace.
“Gillian, I have two more spirit stones here.”
Freya took out the two cyan spirit stones she had obtained and put them straight into the pale-looking white cub’s mouth.
Only then did Elias’s body start to regrow steadily.
“Look, Gillian, it’s working! His front paws are growing back now.”
Freya’s eyes also turned teary, moved deeply by Gillian’s grief.
A single tear slipped down her cheek and landed on Freya’s hand.
Warm power instantly spread out to soothe her skin. Freya wondered why Gillian’s tears held such strange power, yet she put aside her doubts for the moment.
