The goblin beastman skimmed through the clauses and spoke with obvious reluctance. “Add one more term. You have to eat one meal with me every single day.”
Gillian was left speechless. She instantly took back the contract and turned to leave. “Merrick, kill him. I longer care about signing this deal.”
“Wait! Don’t do it! One meal a month is fine! I’d rather get whipped and hung up like before!”
The black griffin’s eyes darkened sharply. The griffin’s sharp horns jabbed ruthlessly into the goblin’s body. striking repeatedly without mercy.
“Hung up?”
“Whipped?”
“You dare to indulge in such ridiculous fantasies? I’ll tear you apart right now, you shameless fool!”
Gillian quickly revised the contract, then shoved the document straight into the goblin’s hands. “Fine, I’ll agree. Sign it now.”
After reading the updated terms thoroughly, the goblin beastman, Oliver Carmichael, nodded shyly. “I accept this contract.”
Gillian then passed the contract to Merrick. “Sign it quickly.”
Everyone present had felt uneasy at first, thinking Gillian was making a huge sacrifice. But they soon realized the meal clause applied to Black Rick instead.
Freya and the others all looked up at the sky in unison, choosing to ignore the absurd yet amusing scene.
“I’ll reluctantly agree to these terms.”
Merrick crushed the goblin’s head under his hoof, venting all his pent-up frustration in an instant.
The contract split into two streams of light and merged into the bodies of the two signatories.
The next second, the goblin beastman vanished completely.
“Congratulations! Gillian’s team has secured two victories in today’s smart arena. One reward draw is available.”
“White griffin, what rewards can I obtain?”
The white griffin soared into the air and split into seven or eight palm-sized griffins, hovering right in front of Gillian.
Gillian randomly picked two of them.

The white light faded, leaving two paper slips in her palm.
Before she could check the contents, a system notification sounded beside her ear.

“Random rewards distributed. The Dark Trial Forest arena is now closed. 10-second countdown activated.”
“Gillian, wait for me.”
Merrick buried his head tightly in his partner’s arms, acting docile and clingy like a loyal hound.
Looking at the black griffin, Gillian thought of Asher. His beast form was nearly identical to Merrick’s.
Overwhelmed with emotion, she tightened her arms around the griffin’s head.
When she opened her eyes again, she was lying in a private room inside the Medical Hall, with Freya resting beside her.
Gillian closed her eyes and sensed her current psionic power. Her strength was surging and solid, far stronger than before.
Her power had once been a shallow well, but now it flowed like a steady river.
The energy from her primal core traveled from her chest down to her lower abdomen.
Her two children had fully formed their physical fetal forms inside her womb.
The special experience in the trial arena had accelerated their growth, bringing their gestation to completion ahead of schedule.
Gillian finally let out a breath of relief.
She checked her wrist terminal and saw an unread message from Jared, sent to ask if she would return to the Medical Hall together with everyone.
The timestamp matched the exact moment she and Freya had their psionic power trapped in the arena.
It was now around one o’clock in the afternoon.
Clearly, time flowed at the same speed inside the white griffin smart arena as it did in the outside world.
Noticing Freya still had not woken up, a trace of unease flickered in her heart.
She walked over to her friend’s bedside.
“Freya, are you alright?”
Receiving no response, Gillian gathered a wisp of white psionic power at her fingertip and gently touched Freya’s forehead to rouse her.
“Freya, wake up.”

Bathed in the healing white light, the stunning female on the bed suddenly opened her eyes and met Gillian’s worried gaze.
“Gillian.”
Freya rubbed her throbbing temples, glanced around the room, and slowly sat up.
