Class Three's Hunter Travis was built like a tank.

He stood at least six feet tall and was heavily muscled. Paired with his sharp, square jaw, he looked like someone you absolutely did not want to mess with.

The reason Serena disliked him was precisely because he looked so brutish. Every time he confessed to her, she felt incredibly uncomfortable.

But now, seeing him bypass her entirely to seek out Clara made her feel even worse.

She pulled a long face, pretending she didn't care.

Clara remained seated, completely unbothered. She glanced up at the imposing figure in the doorway, realized she didn't know him, and simply lowered her head back to her homework.

Hunter stormed right into the room.

It was the break period, and there was no teacher at the podium, so he marched straight up to Clara's desk.

"I told you to come out. Are you deaf?"

Hunter's voice was heavy and menacing.

Chelsea gasped in fear and quickly stood up. "You're from Class Three! You can't just barge into our room..."

"I'm talking to Clara! Keep your mouth shut!" Hunter snapped, before glaring impatiently at Clara. "Do you want to settle this in the classroom, or take it outside?"

Clara stared at him blankly.

She had never seen this guy before in her life. What could they possibly have to 'settle'?

"Speak English," she demanded coldly.

Hunter scoffed. "This morning at the school gates, you shoved Serena to the ground. The whole school heard about it. You need to apologize to Serena right now!"

Serena was genuinely shocked.

She had never imagined that this brute was actually here to defend her honor!

The sour feeling in her chest vanished instantly, replaced by a surge of smug satisfaction. She lifted her chin slightly, looking as arrogant as a peacock.

A mocking sneer curled Clara's lips. "A lapdog is just a lapdog. Why are you pretending to be a white knight?"

Hunter flared up instantly. "What the hell are you talking about!"

Clara abruptly stood up.
