The Lambert estate spanned four floors.

The basement housed the wine cellar and storage.

The first floor held the main living areas and the servant's quarters.

The second floor was dedicated to the master suite and Clara's original bedroom.

The third floor contained the four boys' bedrooms and a single guest room, all much smaller in size.

Having grown accustomed to the expansive second-floor suite, Serena was absolutely livid at the prospect of moving upstairs.

She immediately protested. "No! I'm not moving! That is my room, and no one is taking it from me!"

Vera took a steadying breath and coaxed, "Serena, be good..."

"Why does she get to barge in and steal my room? Who does she think she is?"

Serena shrieked.

She never bothered to hide her temper in front of her mother.

"Bringing her back from the countryside was already too generous! Mom, send her back! Let her rot out there like the trash she is..."

"Enough!"

Vera's face turned thunderous.

If there had been any other option, she would never have brought Clara back to disgust herself.

"Since you're throwing such a tantrum..." Clara casually tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "How about this? I'll take the third floor."

Vera narrowed her eyes at her.

The little brat had been fiercely demanding her room back just seconds ago.
