The banquet hall emptied out, but the back lounge was completely packed.

Evelyn still hadn't woken up from her fainting spell and had been rushed to the hospital by Vera's people.

Lillian huddled on the sofa, clutching a cup of hot tea.

Beatrice spoke up slowly, "What on earth is going on here?"

"What else could it be?!" Eleanor was furious. "That Harvey is nothing but a thug! It's bad enough he's always leeching off the Lamberts, but to pull a stunt like this at our banquet! Vera, you better sever ties with the Blanches right now, before they drag the Lambert family down with them!"

Eleanor was truly livid.
